Dear Ahmed Makhdoom Sahab,

It is good to be a nationalist and praise your heroes.

However, you are requested not to mix religions and don't insult Islam for your cause.

Hemu Kalanis may be a great person but how can you call a Hindu as Shaheed.

This is something very common in all nationalists which I hate.

Punjabis also feel proud of Ranjit Singh which is shameless. Similarly Mohajirs find murtid Altaf their hero and pathans love many communists and atheists.

You can remain a nationalist without trace passing Islam.

A KAFIR CAN NEVER BE A MARTRY. YOU CAN COIN ANOTHER TERM FOR THEM

===============================================================

Oh Lord! Bless My Mother Sindh With More Hemu Kalanis

23rd March is that glittering day in the glorious History of our gregarious

Sindh when a worthy son was born to a simple, proud and blessed mother. This

great son of a gifted mother grew up to help in changing History of our

Motherland, Sindh, in particular and Mother India, in general. He proudly,

valiantly and gladly sacrificed his life so that the lives of his kinsmen and

countrymen will never again be spent in ignominious chains and demeaning

fetters.

In the glorious History of our beloved gregarious, grand and great Mother Sindh,

there have been countless noble and worthy children of Jeejal Sindhrree, who had

laid down their lives for the Freedom, Emancipation, Enlightenment and

Effervescence of this venerable dhartee â€" land of our ancestors.

Sindhis had also been in the forefront in the valiant struggle against slavery,

subjugation, oppression and tyranny. Remember, for hundreds of years Mother

Sindh and Mother India were colonised, enslaved and terrorised by the brutal

British Raj. Gone were the independence, self-respect and peace of the

peace-loving, secular-minded, Sufi and spiritual people of Sindh and India as a

whole.

And, when turbulences become Tsunamis and the going gets tough, the pain and

agony becomes unbearable and the ship flounders and is about to sink, the

Helmsman, high above in Heavens, sends His worthy and noble, brave and valiant,

true and real captains and helmsmen who, with His Help, take control of the

wallowing and crippled ship.

In the 1940s, the ship of India was in dire straits and sinking! A great

Mahatma, a simple man, a courageous man, a genuine man, a veritable leader,

pleaded to his countrymen to Rise, Stand Up and Be Counted! Thus began the Civil

disobedience movement, throughout India, against the ignominious British rule.

Mahatma Gandhi’s call was answered by almost every full-blooded Indian,

everywhere, including Sindh. In 1942, Gandhiji started the “Quit Indiaâ€

Movement

with a slogan and appeal to the entire nation of, “Do or Die.â€

People of Sindh gave whole-hearted support to that Movement and the call of the

Mahatma. One such valiant and courageous young man was mitthrro suhnno Saaeen

Hemu Kalani, a young man still in his teens.

Today, we pay our humble tributes to a valiant young man, a filial son of Mother

Sindh, who did not even enter into his second decade of life on Earth, when he

and his comrades and group of close friends, gladly and proudly anwered Mahatma

Gandhi’s call and went on streets demanding the ouster of the Colonialists

from

Sindh and India.

Shaheed Hemu Kalani, has just turned nineteen, but, there was a mountain of

anger and anguish rising within him against the disgraceful and dishonourable

British rule and an Ocean of longing, yearning and craving raging within him to

bring the tyrant oppressors and the infamous tormentors, the Colonial British

down onto their knees.

There was a train loaded with Tanks, Guns, Bullets, Bombs and Arms and

Ammunition, together with the Armed Personnel, British soldiers and European

Battalions, heading towards Sindh to contain the disturbances and civil

disobedience movement in Sindh. Young Hemu and his friends, decided to derail

the train. With hastily collected simple tools, started to dismantle the fish

plates from tracks of the Railway and unplugging their nuts and bolts.

Inexperienced, naïve, simple young men were not able to successfully cripple

the

Railway tracks as the British forces came after them. Hemu Kalani saved his

friends, by asking them to run for their lives. In his brave efforts to save his

friends, Hemu wase caught by the British soldiers, hand-cuffed and imprisoned.

He was brutally and savagely tortured by the British in the prison to name the

rest of the group members who were with him on that fateful day when they tried

to derail the train. He was also asked to name his friends for his freedom. He

screamed in agony, suffered in pain, but did not divulge any name to his

tormentors. This valiant son of Sindh stood firm on his convictions and beliefs.

Ultimately, the case of sabotage was launched against Hemu Kalani. Despite pleas

and appeals from the people of Sindh, Hemo was sentenced to death by the British

Judges and British-colonial Court and subsequently sent to gallows on 21st

Januray, 1943. At the age of only nineteen years, Hemu attained Martyrdom,

Shahadat! Saaeen Hema Kalani Shaheed who will always remain a shining and

twinkling star on the bright and brilliant sky of Sindh.

Dear Friends,

World Meteorological Day will be observed across the globe including Pakistan with the global theme "Climate for You" on March 23 (Wednesday). Various events such as conferences, symposia and exhibitions for meteorological professionals, community leaders and the general public are arranged to raise awareness among people about climate change and weather variabilities.
Many prizes for meteorological research are also announced on the day while some countries issue postage stamps reflecting event's theme or mark a country's meteorology achievements.
, Director General, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Arif Mehmood said there is dire need to develop strategy for water security and rapid climate changes which are affecting common man in the country.
He said rapid glacier melt may cause water crisis in the country so a comprehensive plan for saving water is crucial to overcome its shortage.
To mark the day, a meteorological exhibition will be arranged at the Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics, Karachi, he said.
The discussion programmes in connection with met day will be arranged while the meteorological instruments will be displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition will remain open for students and general public from 1000 to 1700 hours on March 24 and 25.
A two-day international conference on climate change on science and technology concluded on Tuesday which was attended by representatives of SAARC countries formulating strategies to overcome affects of climate changes in the region.
The International Meteorological Organization was established at the first International Meteorological Congress in Vienna, Austria, in 1873.
The organization aimed to establish meteorological station networks. These networks were linked by telegraph and improved weather forecasts. This contributed to shipping services' safety and efficiency.
The International Meteorological Organization became the World Meteorological Organization on March 23, 1950. It became the UN's specialized agency for meteorology, operational hydrology and related geophysical sciences in 1951.
World Meteorological Organization plays a crucial role in contributing to people's safety and welfare. Its work is important in providing food security, water resources and transport. World Meteorological Day has been observed on March 23 each year since 1961.
Each year, on 23 March, the World Meteorological Organization, its 189 members and the worldwide meteorological community celebrate World Meteorological Day around a chosen theme.

The President speech was as hopeless all the previous three.Ever since surfaced on political scene after Benazir Sahibas' death and her controversial will, only 'azab' ,hell has befallen on sixteen crore poor of Pakistan whom he has pounded to jelly due to horrendous corruption and incompetence.Due to complacence of esteemed SCP to circumvent his extra constitutional partisan, the political role of President
he has become absolute dictator.Till such time his unbridled power is not tamed to constitutional norms ,he will keep ruining nation.Unfortunately no political party and even media does not object to it.

However, the role of entire media especially GEO,ARY etc is strangely projecting the en-
bloc boycot of President speech as 'fixed' is most disgusting. They were diluting their combined role of boycot to suit only PPP-Zardari and MQM who clapped him for his empty assurance to solve Karachi targetting killings while they hold fast to their 'kursis' in Sind government. They seem to only making fool of their people and yet pretend to be saint when they are biggest terrorists, target killers, bathakhors of Karachi and blame others.
It appears Karachi based TV channels,Dunya TV etc want to by ridiculing 'opposition' do not want any opposition to PPP-Zardari and MQM.The amount of airtime given too MQM local leadership in every programme be entertainment, sports, tevery talk show etc is a subtle attemmpt to give them opportunity to propgate for themselves besides almost every next day hours long live speeches of Altaf Hussein from
London.

Musharraf can never be pardoned for his crimes: Dr Chohan

LONDON: Pakistan Muslim League (N) Punjab Assembly legislator Dr
Ashraf Chohan has said that comparing the "dictatorial era" of Pervez
Musharraf with any democratic form of governance is unjust and unfair
to the democratic forces with a long history for the restoration of
democracy in Pakistan.

Dr Chohan reacted after Lord Nazir Ahmed said that Pervez Musharraf's
era was better than the current government in the sense that there was
less corruption and harassment at the Pakistani airports and overseas
Pakistanis faced no or less hassle. Lord Ahmed said this at a recent
community event where he spoke about the complaints often heard from
the overseas Pakistan as to how they were forced to bribe the police
at Pakistani airports.

Dr Chohan said that Musharraf, now living in exile, committed crimes
against Pakistani nation and he is single-handedly the person
responsible for throwing Pakistani to the wolves, just in order to
extend his illegal rule.

"His biggest crime is that he sold out Pakistan's national interest to
Pakistan's enemies, suppressed democratic forces and attacked the
independent judiciary in the most ruthless manner. He destroyed
Pakistani institutions and left a huge stockpile of mess in his wake
and Pakistani nation continues to pay the price for his crimes,"
Chohan said in a statement on Saturday.

The MP from Gujranwala said that recently it has been seen that some
politicians have issued statements in favour of Musharraf and it
smacked of conspiracy to derail the democratic process.

He said it was true that corruption at all levels had gone up under
the nose of the Federal government and the government was not
listening to the demands of the common man but yet the government must
be kept in check and criticised for reform and betterment through and
within the democratic framework.

"Pakistan doesn't afford another military adventure and there should
be no place left in Pakistan polity for any former or current
dictator. The dictator on the run should be brought to justice in
Pakistan, he should not be appeased by anyone," he demanded.

Kind Regards,
Chaya Mistry
Secretary to Dr Ashraf Chohan MPA

We are seeing the third ad of Kamoshi Ka Boycott series in which a girl is being abused by some vagabonds and later by a rather aged guy who represents a character that take pleasure in pinching girls.

Mobilink Official PR Agency - Negative Propaganda Against Telenor

We know that gender abuse and discrimination prevails not only in Pakistan but all over the world but we also know that it doesnt happen this frequently. I have personally found it very rare that few aimless young people are following and abusing a girl to such an extent where she should shout.

These rare cases I am talking about happen all over the world and most of the time social forces come forward to deal with it. It doesnt happen this frequently in open the way Telenor Pakistan is portraying.

The TVC assumes that this extreme state of negativity in our society has made it impossible for our sisters and daughters to leave their homes for jobs and education purposes. Contrary to this we see a very healthy picture when hundreds and thousands of our women go out daily to work in schools, universities, banks, private and government organizations.

A female manager of a private company was asked to comment on this ad, she said, This ad is not for me, what cause this particular ad would serve by showing this pessimism in our society. Yes there are incidents which are very rare but that doesnt require to be filmed in a massive way. If we believe in this situation, how a SHOUT and sending SMS will help somebody fix the situation?

Similarly, first two ads of this sequence are also defaming a certain segment of our society, Teachers and Employers.

Nowhere in these ads has the advertiser intended to show positive aspect of Pakistanis. The only thing it focuses on is the level of FRUSTRATION, which every political and even the anti-Pakistani elements today wants to make use of by exploiting it for their vested interest. Is Telenor becoming a part of it?

If Telenor desires to see this nation rising and growing which apparently the slogan is then we may expect more ads showing the voices against fake degree holders sitting in the parliament, Hajj Corruption, Match fixing and dozen other things which are of concern to a common man. And later, management should turn these agitating voices into a revolutionary movement which probably could ultimately change our destination. But so far it is all ambiguous.

We tried to know what Khamoshi Ka Boycott campaign will do to Pakistanis in next few months so people could have a better idea that when they are sending paid SMSes to Telenor, it is not for the sack of giving them revenue only. For this we sent following questions to Mr. Aamir Ibrahim, CMO, Telenor.

Parchi is a part of almost every organization in Pakistan, before going ahead with this revolutionary campaign, has Telenor Pakistan made sure that there is no existence of Parchi culture within the company?

After the success of Khamoshi Ka Boycott, how Telenor Pakistan will streamline the huge anger of youth that this campaign will produce or generate against the society and the system, can you share it with us. Will Telenor provide a platform for this?

Do you believe Karo Mumkin and Khamoshi Ka Boycott are two opposite campaigns, one is highlighting and supporting the creativity of Pakistanis and other is showing an entire negative face of our society? Why Telenor had to change its course from optimism to pessimism, is it all about generating sales only?

A day later, Telenors spokesperson was asked to send the following reply;

Parchi being one of the most commonly faced issues in the youth, is a serious concern for all responsible employers. While Telenor Pakistan has been declared the most preferred employer and the Best place to Work a testament of the values that have been established in the company, it is always striving for further improvement to sustain transparency in its processes and practices.

Khamoshi Ka Boycott is a platform for the youth to speak out. The campaign will evolve through a number of phases and these will be rolled out over the next few months.

Khamoshi Ka Boycott and Karo Mumkin are different faces of the same idea. By acting as an enabler in the society, Telenor Pakistan is looking to help realize possibilities for everyone. The insight behind the two campaigns is the same; to enable change by believing in oneself, be it through speaking out or realizing a dream. The goal behind the campaigns is to create a better future for Pakistan.

On the topic of Parchi, Mr. Aamir Atta has already written a detailed story on his blog where he published the version of Telenors spokesperson. Aamir writes, she denied the existence of favoritism and Safarish in her company but confirmed that there are continues requests and pressures from the government entities including PTA for hiring people which Telenor Pakistan does not entertain.

Whereas, sources within the company revealed that there are numbers of people working at Telenor Pakistan who have been hired on the basis of favoritism.

Lack of clarity in Telenors versions is raising various questions that need to be answered. As Telenor says, Khamoshi Ka Boycott is a platform for the youth to speak out. The campaign will evolve through a number of phases and these will be rolled out over the next few months, if someone could gauge and calculate the impact of digital media keeping in the view the current state of disturbance in Arab countries, it is easier to guess the magnitude of any such thing that could possibly hit Pakistan when, especially, budget season is just around, government is entirely busy in saving itself, people are furious over issues like price hike, corruption and terrorism.

Timing of this campaign and the way negativity in our society is being shown is raising serious questions about the creator of Khamoshi Ka Boycott.

India and Pakistan share lots of common things even the presence of Telenor. Both the countries have similar issues. Contrary to Telenor Pakistan, one of Indian companies, TATA Tea has made use of creative TVCs to pinpoint those issues which are eating India. At the same time, it provides a way out to deal with worsening situation hence educating the entire nation in a very soft and patriotic manner. Not only TATA but there are dozens of companies doing the same. I am sure that most of the readers have already seen the following ads but I would really like Telenor to see and learn from them because nowhere in these ads companies have asked the public to scream and stand against the system but they do serve the cause.

Assalam U Alaikum

As the inhabitant of the Chinab Nagar Territory I know how the
Qadianis are commiting misdeeds. It is true that the Qadianis are a

May Allah Show them the right path.
