I liked the answer of this German Muslim scholar when he was asked about
terrorism and Islam :

He said : Who started the first world war ? Muslims ?

Who started the second world war ? Muslims ? Who killed about 20 millions of
Aborigines in Australia ? Muslims ??

Who sent the nuclear bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki ? Muslims ??

Who killed more than 100 millions of Indians in North America ? Muslims ??

Who killed more than 50 millions of Indians in south America ? Muslims ??

Who took about 180 millions of African people as slaves and 88% of them died
and were thrown in Atlantic ocean ? Muslims ??

No , They weren't Muslims!!!

First of all, You have to define terrorism properly... If a non-Muslim does
something bad..it is crime. But if a Muslim commit same..he is terrorist...

So first remove this double standard...then come to the point!!! , . . . . .

Islamabad: Pakistan is one of the six countries that contribute to over 50% of all maternal deaths worldwide. To address this problem, the government of Pakistan has introduced a new cadre of skilled birth attendants, the Community Midwives. A part of the Maternal, Neo-Natal and Child Health (MNCH) Program, community midwives provide a range of antenatal, childbirth and postnatal services. One of the key expectations is that they will improve access to professional care for the poor and disadvantaged women in rural and remote areas of Pakistan .

A new research project has been launched to assess whether the community midwives are indeed providing maternal healthcare services to the poor and marginalized women of Pakistan. It will also map out the barriers and problems faced by the community midwives in the performance of their duties as well as analyze the problems that the poor and marginalized women face in accessing the services provided by these midwives. It will do this in two districts in Punjab: Jhelum and Layyah. The project is a partnership of the School of Public Health, University of Alberta, Canada, and the Real Medicine Foundation, Islamabad. Dr. Zubia Mumtaz is the Principal Investigator and responsible for conceptual guidance of the research and intellectual outputs. The research has been funded by the Research and Advocacy Fund of the UK Department for International Development (DFID) and Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID. At the conclusion of the research project, knowledge dissemination exercises will be held with the view to inform the decision makers of the findings and suggest to them the ways to improve the maternal health policy, service designs and service delivery of the MNCH program.
