Missing Pakistani Journalist Reappears After 3 Months 18 Days

Fawad Ali Shah, a Peshawar, Pakistan based journalist who caught attention and invited wrath by exposing Blackwater/CIA activities in Pakistan has reappeared after 3 months and 18 days of illegal detention.

He is disliked for his reports against corruption in government departments, specially police, FIA and other agencies.

He was abducted on 10th of January and released today after severe mental and physical torture as well as threats.

He was repeatedly shifted to underground facilities in different cities where he came to know about some horrifying facts and how the angles look at civilian setup as well as superior courts.

Before release, he was directed to tell friends and family that he was not abducted rather he was unable to contact anyone as he was in Afghanistan.

His mental and physical state is not very stable and it seems that he is also worried.

He can be reached on 0333-9301323 or 0321-9188073.

Insha'allah, the best thing the 2.2 billion muslims on earth can do, should do and MUST DO is to UNITE AS ONE UMMAH under one flag (not 57+ flags), one border (not 200+ borders) and develop their own one islamic economic system and islamic economy.
When this happens then the muslims on earth will create more than 100 million jobs, if not more, for themselves within their own islamic economic system, within a few years and will hardly ever need any export import help from any kaafir land....who are true enemies of Allah and Islam.....
Unfortunately, the miskeen/faqeer mentality of the muslims never wakes up and smells some real coffee or chai.....Allah has blessed muslims with everything they need in their own lands and most importantly the BEST BRAINS on earth with full guidence from islam, Qur'an, Hadees and Sunnah.....
most muslims are always looking for "scapegoats" for their "own created" man made million disasters and then turn around and look for hand outs from kuffaar ands. THIS WILL NEVER NEVER IMPROVE THE CONDITIONS OF THE 2.2 BILLION MUSLIMS.....
worthless garbage muslim "leaders" have been educating their own children and grand children and COMPLETELY IGNORING muslim masses on earth for more than 500 years and that's why the muslim ummah is so messed up today.....
if and when all 2.2 billion muslims can put their brains together and unite in the "LIGHT/NOOR OF ISLAM" then and ONLY THEN they will be able to create a 20 or 30 trillion dollar economy for themselves and their future generations.....
in the meantime keep begging for hand outs and kuffaars will keep slitting our throats 24/7.
May Allah help us UNITE AS ONE UMMAH, Aameen.

Subject: Media Tribe> News--Demands of MFN status to India unjustified

Demands of MFN status to India unjustified

Special status to Pakistan remains counter productive

New Delhi never granted unconditional MFN status to Pakistan

Islamabad: [April 27]

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Tuesday said demands to accord Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status to India are against the economic and national interests.

The local business circles demanding MFN status to India are not fully aware of the repercussions of such a move, it said.

Pakistani importers may save a billion dollars per year if India is declared MFN but it can damage local industry, increase infiltration, and trigger terrorism, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.

He said that India granted MNF status to Pakistan in 1995 but it proved to be a trick as local exports could not pick up due to the non-tariff barriers that include different clearances, inspections, certifications, specifications, labelling, marking and packaging rules etc.

In addition, India has also imposed a number of de facto trade barriers to stop Pakistani exporter from making inroads in its market, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal.

That is why India has kept a soft tone in its demand for MFN status by Islamabad as she knows that they never granted real MFN status to Pakistan.

"Political relations between the two countries are unlikely to become stable soon therefore it is not advisable to increase dependence on India," he said adding that strategic considerations also matter in the overall scenario.

He said that enhanced bilateral trade with will boost human traffic flow making it difficult to check infiltration. A strain in relations can push the two countries to ditch commitments as experienced in past.

India would only be justified in demanding special status if she removes trade barriers and provide opportunities of Pakistani exporters, he said.

Indian should also change its attitude which is compelling Pakistan to divert resources to less desirable sectors which is barring development and pushing poverty, said Dr. Mughal.

Peshawar: 3-Days training workshop on Democratic Governance organized by Strengthening Participator Organization (SPO) with collaboration of FRs Civil Society Network (FCSN) in Peshawar was concluded today. This training workshop was arranged for the political parties' workers of different political parties present in   FRs to enhance their capacity regarding their political activities. Zuhra Luqman an MER specialist  of SPO was  the trainer on this occasion.

The concluding workshop was the last of series of the workshops for political workers in FRs(FATA). In said workshop political workers took special interest and wished for holding of more such training workshops in future to build the capacity of the political workers in far flung areas of FR Peshawar, FR Lakki, FR Tank and FR DI Khan. In the past such trainings were provided to the political workers for building up of their capacity on various subjects. Before this the participants were provided with trainings on human rights, democracy etc.

In her concluding remarks to the participants  Zuhra Luqman said that FATA which comprises of 7-Agencies and six FRs is a backward area and since Pakistan came into being for the last 63 years this area has not seen actual development. It is the result that we see today that FATA is having no peace and its people are IDPs in different areas of the country. In FATA political parties have not played the role which they should have played and its reason is that FATA is deprived of extension of political parties Act. President Asif Ali Zardari had announced reforms in FATA but till today these reforms were not implemented. Zuhra Luqman addressed the participants that democracy is the sole weapon to solve the problems of FATA. Dictatorial and authoritarian behaviors will not help us in solution of our issues and rather the problems are multiplied. Therefore people of FATA will have to play the role of changing agent and this is the reason that we have invited you here to discuss the democratic governance in FATA. Frankly speaking FATA is a place which can be called as human rights free zone. Human rights are frequently violated here because here is only one man show and he is called political Agent. Until we all get together and work in a democratic way for the solution of our issues situation will never change and status que will be there. We all know that FATA is represented by 12 MNAs and 8 senators but it is astonishing to see that these representatives can not legislate for FATA while have the power to take part in legislation for the rest of the country. FCR is a great hurdle in way of democracy and good governance. Good governance needs a transparent mechanism which unfortunately FATA lacks.

Zar Ali Khan Afridi, Chairman Tribal NGOs Consortium and Coordinator FCSN thanked SPO for arranging such thoughtful trainings for the people of FATA and assured that his people will cooperate in such like programs which are held for the bright future of FATA and its people. He also thanked the participants and said that it was the last of  series of training workshops for the political workers of FRs. . Such trainings need to  be continued for promotion of peace, democracy and sustainable development of FATA and its people alike.
