UNAIDS to launch new report –Together we will end AIDS
The new 2012 UNAIDS report Together we will end AIDS will be launched on the 18th July ahead of the XIX International AIDS Conference which is taking place from 22-27 July in Washington DC.
The report contains the latest data on numbers of new HIV infections, numbers of people receiving antiretroviral treatment, AIDS-related deaths and HIV among children. It also highlights new scientific opportunities and social progress, and gives an overview of international and domestic HIV investments.
The report will be launched during a high-level interactive panel discussion in Washington DC at 10:30am EST / 14:30 GMT on Wednesday 18th July which is also the time that the report and press kit will go live on the UNAIDS website at www.unaids.org
Materials for broadcasters
In addition to the report and press kits UNAIDS will be providing a video footage and video news release for broadcasters which includes footage from Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. These materials will also be available on a password protected website and if you are interested in receiving them in advance of the launch date please contact Saya Oka on okas@unaids.org
