Dear Col. Tariq
 Thanks for the information. Many of us have booked 5 Marla and 8marla flats in DHA valley . We completed payment of the whole amount amount in April 2012 and were promised that we will get the ownership in April. Now when we ask about the date of handing over the flats, there is complete silence.
      Those who are strong and influential can get away with any thing in our country which is frustrating .

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has been criticised for not taking any action against accused in the Rs 62 billion land scam in which some one hundred and fifty thousand people lost their savings.

Lt. Colonel M Tariq Kamal (Retired), former Director Engineering DHA Islamabad, who brought the scam to the limelight, said in a statement on Sunday that NAB is not doing anything against property tycoon Malik Riaz and officers of the DHA who deprived many of their lifetime savings.

He said that he has provided sufficient evidence against the accused but due to some reasons NAB was reluctant to initiate probe. The investigators entrusted to find the facts seem only interested in wasting time and delaying investigation.

Nab is not proceeding in accordance with the law which amounts to sheltering criminals and denying justice to those who lost money and residential plots in the scam.

It may be mentioned that following the public uproar, the Chairman NAB released an official statement on June 8 promising probe into the land scam and inquiry against NAB Rawalpindi officials who filed the case without sufficient grounds, said Col. Tariq.

The statement of Chairman NAB Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari proved to be a tactic to gain time which only helped Malik Riaz of Bahria Town and officials of the Defence Housing Authority Islamabad, he alleged.

Col. Tariq maintained that he has filed complaints with all the concerned departments only to know that none is willing to take action against influential.

Many departments including NAB must have reasons behind their lack of interest but fact remains that the affected people including civilians and military personnel are running from pillar to post since four years to get some relief.

Dear all

Talking in a TV talk show about the car run on water-kit, Dr Pervez Hoodbhoy endlessly abused the discoverer of the kit, Mr Agha Waqar calling him fraud, illiterate in science and suggested he (Waqar) should be sent to prison.

In response, Agha Waqar stayed cool and did not respond in kind.

Irrespective of who was right and who was wrong, Dr Hoodbhoy had no right to insult his opponent every time he challenged his knowledge in physics. In doing so, he downgraded his own personality in ethics and decency. While discussing science Dr Hoodbhoy should control his temper and do not portray himself socially ignorant and ethically uneducated.

Mujahideen also chopped off the heads of 7 captured soldiers as Shariah directs them to do with enemies of Islam.in this blessed operation one of our fellow Embraced Shahadah, while three of our fellows got injuries, We are proud of our martyred brother as he spilled his blood for enforcement of Shriah in the World.

               Federal Board of Revenue has extended the date of filing of Sales Tax/Federal Excise returns upto 5th September, 2012 for the tax period July 2012, for all registered persons vide its C. No. 3(9) ST-L&P/2010-115577-R dated 30.8.2012. The date of payment of tax shall, however, be 30th August, 2012.

 

               The decision has been taken by the FBR in exercise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005.

[Pak-Media] Panacea for Pakistan

My proposed panacea for most of the ills of Pakistan, is to make all the divisions of the country as provinces. That is to make each division of all the provinces as a separate province. Let local people solve their problems within this newly created small and manageable provinces.

It is hoped that if this proposal is implemented there will be great enhancement in the growth, development and unity of the nation.

Moreover, any trouble like the one, we are now a days facing in Balouchistan, will also be marginalized and can be managed more easily; and nobody can claim that the whole of the province is in trouble, or wants separation from the country. So, in this way, the country will also be further strengthened.

They are working as the puppets of Indian government to sabotage the ongoing movement and strengthen their illegal and forced occupation on Kashmir, with a begging bowl for chair and material benefits and are openly helping Indian forces unleash death, destruction and repression in Kashmir. Their hands are soaked with blood of Kashmiris. They are the open enemies of Kashmiri people and their ongoing freedom movement. But more dangerous are some hidden faces seemingly in the pro freedom garb and disguise who are hand in glove with Indian government behind the curtain with dubious intentions, cleverly and deludingly trying to confuse and change the actual meaning and definition of right to self determination and this way serving Indian interests. If these hidden faces and their acts in the pro freedom garb were not unmasked and denuded immediately, then it will be almost impossible to help save the ongoing movement for right to self determination from failure and the innumerable and supreme sacrifices of Kashmiri people in this regard from going waste. In such situation the future of coming generations of Kashmiris will reel under utter darkness and uncertainty in every respect so it is the responsibility of every Kashmiri to take immediate cautious steps in denuding and unmasking these hidden and dangerous faces. Pakistan being the savior and mentor of Kashmiri people has every moral obligation to differentiate between real and fake faces in this regard and not only maintain distance from the fake ones but also stop recognizing and supporting them because this has badly started impacting and affecting the deep rooted and strong emotional and Islamic links, affiliations and amities of Pakistan with Kashmiri people.

Wednesday, August 29, 2012 - Islamabad- Privatisation Commission (PC) and International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance and strengthen the privatisation program. IFC will extend technical and financial assistance to the Commission and will assist in reviving the privatisation process.

The MOU was signed by Chairman Privatisation Commission, Ghaus Bux Khan Maher and Nadeem Siddiqui, Country Representative of the IFC in Islamabad.
