Pakistan Day Commemorated in Turkey


ANKARA: 23 March 2011:   Pakistan Embassy in Ankara commemorated "Pakistan Day" at a ceremony here today. The Ambassador of Pakistan Mr. Tariq Azizuddin unfurled the Pakistan flag on the tune of National Anthem in presence of the Pakistani community and Embassy officials.  The Ambassador read out messages of President and Prime Minister.

 

The President in his message stated that it is a proud day for every Pakistani as we celebrate the triumph of democracy over dictatorship and have demonstrated to the world that dictatorship can never take roots in Pakistan. Seventy two years ago, on this day, the Muslims of subcontinent set out to achieve the goal of a separate homeland for themselves. Our founding fathers had envisaged a democratic and pluralistic state where constitutionalism and rule of law would reign supreme and where minorities will have equal rights as citizens.

 

The Prime Minister in his message reiterated the Government's commitment of translating the dream of Pakistan's founding fathers into reality and pledged to continue the path of reconciliation and dialogue to resolve the national issues in concurrence with all stakeholders.

 

In the evening, the Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara will host a reception where the Turkish political and military leadership, parliamentarians, civil society, media and members of Pakistan community are invited to participate.

Since Dedar Shah as NAB chief has been ordered by Supreme Court to be
relinquished from his politically influenced appointment, Shortly and
finally Amir Siddiqui's name will be added to EXIT CONTROL LIST........
thanks to Patriots who are still determined to take on these corrupt people
......... Amir used NBP, Government and public money to pay off local court
systems and by the time you read this email Since a long due petition must
have been filed at Supreme Court on simply one advise corrupt people ( if
you cant do the time then dont the crime) ........

Additionally, Amir Siddiqui recently made large amount of wire transfer to
his USA bank account from UAE bank ..... where did he got all this money ?
Fathay Textile and bogus loans schemes should be scrutinize

One interesting observation on Presidents circular dated 16 March 2011 ( its
says Amir Siddiqui expressed his interest to move to USA and NBP USA
regional office offered him a job) ......... classic example of favoritism
or extortion, why this position was not posted for other qualified
individuals .......

We learned NO body like Amir Siddiqui in NBP USA because his corrupt, sleazy
and alcoholic behavior. We wonder how this man faces his family every day
since they know about his loss character. We also learned his in-laws are
quite embarrass about his bad and corrupt reputation. We tried reaching
NBP NY, CHICAGO and DC offices to get their feed back but was unable to get
hold of any body ..... if any body has private numbers for all three
locations please provide ..... We respect and understand their privacy.

NBP Head Office management cant stand Amir Siddiqui around them and cant
wait for this curse and corrupt person out of their sight, but now problem
is petition being filed and his name added to ECL what he is going to do
!!!!!, Asif A. Barohi is honest and quite patriotic person and we are
confident he will find wrong doings of Amir Siddiqui's and listen to his
collaborate with Authorities with clear concussion and will continue to do
so.......

The electronic and print media appears a bonded prisoner .Ninety percent of them for their commercial interests or out of fascist fear see,speak,think through Nine Zero[MQM] who commands them.It becomes so evident by the selection of guests,analysts, MQM local leaders in every TV channel and programme.The MQM foot soldier loyalists,bribed or threatened high risks to life ;the TV anchors would let MQM persons speak as virulently  as possible against Nawaz Sharif,Punjab government in conjunction with PPP-Zardari guests.The moment some guest criticizes chameleon ,poison spitting tongues,ever vacillating opportunistic,lying blackmailing stances of MQM,the anchor either stops him or diverts the discussion to other subject to save their mentors from exposing them.Even yesterday after Presidents' address in National Assembly they toxically criticized ML-N and term their joint boycott of President hopeless speech as 'fixed and topi drama'.Yesterday MQM purple blind anchorpersons eg of 'Laikin'-Geo spearheded this attitude.There is another attempt to stifle the 'callers' voice,even they could say two crtical words about MQM,the anchorpersons immediately snaps the call.I noticed it this morning on their morning TV programme most unlike of 'nawaiwaqt' institution who claim to be the champions of freedom of speech perhaps in olden times.Currently,they habe become mega businessmen and look to be captive of MQM fascists fears.If this is situation of so called 'democracy' then we heading for total anarchy as MR Altaf Hussein is openly preaching mutiny,sedition,rebellion by live hour long air waved anarchistic live speeches from London  by media barons of Karachi and Lahore for their ulterior motives.If these speeches in past years costing in perhaps billion of dollars were free,then why and if,what tax has been paid,If not every penny should be recovered to help our dwindling economy due to to the anti nation coalition of MQM,PPP-Z,ANP.Another point is very important to ban MR Altaf Hussein speeches politicizing,dividing  army by inciting them to rebel and try him under article 6 of openly spreading sedition.Why MR Zardari is allowing?To save his power and let MQM create hell in Karachi and Pakistan and especially Punjab to suit both' vested nefarious aims .The greatest henious target killers and 'bathakhors' now shamefully talk against target killers to hide their criminal history of bloodbaths and strret killings and bathakhori of billion dollars now called party fund.They now produce Mustafa Kamal as show piece of success.They should not forget that it was only possible due to hundred of billion rupees funded by their mentor Musharraf which made iot possible to make few fly overs etc which his predecessor,Namatullah would had done much better.Why not MQM extinguish the ethnic fire they inflamed for 27 years in Karachi and now inflame it all over country and Punjab.I would urge Punjab,Pkwa,Bolichistan to ban their entries and holding of any public meetings in their province to save themselves from the 'shar' of MQM which has destroyed the peace of Karachi and Pakistan already for 27 years since they were created by Zia.

I offer you a free of cost solution If Pakistan wants to get rid of target killings and bathakhori in Karachi.It is to stop every next day hour long speeches of Altaf Hussein from London.FBR must find out who pays for his could be billion of dollars airtime costing live speeches.If private channels,PTV have done it free of cost then recover the cost from these channels as well as the income tax.The TV channels should be limited to maximum four in Pakistan and time limited to 6-11-30AM and 4-30PM to 11PM to become a better society with better domestic lives of its citizens.

[Pak-Media] Libyan Intervention: For Human Rights War or For Resources

The recent attack on Libya by the US , UK and France surprised nearly
everyone with the speed with which it was authorized and executed. Although
hard data on what's actually going on is scarce, what is clear is that after
non-violent protests in Tripoli were met with the murder of a large number
of protesters, an armed rebellion began which includes some members of the
Libyan armed forces, who are primarily located in the eastern part of the
country. The Libyan army and air force responded fiercely, and within the
last week, began to rout the rebels in town after town, finally approaching
the city of Benghazi , which as of this writing, is still in rebel hands.

Although the UN authorization is based on the premise that civilians are
under attack, clearly, the rebels are armed and an armed conflict is
underway. The Libyan government has the right, as a sovereign nation, to
put down the armed rebellion, even if it did not have the right to kill the
innocent protesters.

It's actions should be guided by the principle of proportionality. That is,
efforts must be made to minimize the harm to innocent people, or collateral
damage, as it is known in the West. The Libyan opposition are classified as
rebels. They cannot be not considered insurgents, due to short length of
time they have been in conflict, their lack of control over significant
territory, and other factors, such as a lack of military structure,
uniforms, and so forth. As such – and whatever one may think of the justness
of their cause – they have no special legal status and may be treated by the
Libyan government as crimnals.

Unlike the invasion of Iraq, this military operation was approved by the UN
Security Council, which may, under Chapter 7 of the UN Charter, authorize
the use of force when it finds, under Article 39 of the Charter, the
existence of a threat to peace, a breach of the peace or an act of
aggression that puts the lives of people at risk. The UN's enforcement
powers, under either Chapter 7, or Articles 42 et seq, were meant only as
"extrema ratio" – that is, as a last resort. The so-called "ethic of
responsibility," in other words, is that the remedy should be no worse than
the evil, as wars quite often are.

The new age we appear to be in, of liberal wars in pursuit of a
humanitarian agenda, has created wars of choice rather than wars of
necessity. The basis for such interventions has been, more often than not,
sheer power rather than law, and the results are often not good. They are a
return to the medieval concept of a bellum justum (morally justified war),
which was replaced by the concept of the bellum legale (legal war) long
ago. It is just the kind of thing the UN was designed to prevent. As
Vladimir Putin recently observed, the concept of a "just war" can easily
take on the aspect of a crusade, and in the case of Iraq , a rather
disingenuous one. It is almost beyond argument that the 2003 invasion of
Iraq was an illegal war of aggression, in that legal grounds for the attack,
such as self-defense or Security Council authorization, did not exist. The
"coalition," then, can at least be given credit for playing by the rules
this time in Libya . The actions taken by the US and its coalition have
been, at least up to this point, legal.

It's important to note, though, how limited the mandate of the UN Security
Council is. It is to ensure peace, not to pass judgments on governments or
to replace bad governments with better ones. The UN's mission is not to
spread democracy. According to the UN Charter, its role is "the maintenance
of international peace and security, and to that end, to take effective
collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to peace, and
for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of peace, and to
bring about, by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of
justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international
disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of peace …" Article 39
of the Charter states that its purpose is not to maintain or restore law,
but merely to maintain and restore peace.

So, when US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says that "the first and
overwhelmingly urgent action is to end the violence," but that "a final
result of any negotiations would have to be the decision by Colonel Gaddafi
to leave," it should be clear this exceeds the UN's authorization to end the
conflict, and is in pursuit America's own objective of eliminating an old
adversary.

This is, of course, to take America 's motives at face value. It must be
said that most of the Libyan population lives in the western part of the
country, and most of the oil is in the east. Oil and gas account for 97
percent of Libya 's export earnings and 90 percent of government revenue,
according to the International Monetary Fund. American and British media
are already referring to eastern Libya as "disputed territory." However,
there is no legal dispute over this territory, and no legal argument for the
partition of the Libyan people from their oil. The UN's mandate is to
prevent "violations of the territorial integrity of states," not to
facilitate them. The partition of Libya would create yet another place in
the world destined for permanent war.

Excellent piece of absurdity Mr Makhdoom!     R u an Indian ( because u keep qouting mother India)?    What has Punjab got to do with your love for your Hemu fellow? Go ahead dance and play holy I do not care. Actually u seem to have loved the slavery of the Hidus prepartition days.      That was the glorious time when you sat at the feet of the Baniyas, when you were the Kammis of Hindus when they had all the money and trade of Sindh and when their was no shame for a rich hindu to have your girls working for them in their houses - even as keeps!
Pakistan gave u the respect, she gave you the place that u rightfully deserved, she gave you the opportunity to run this great country. You are owner of ur land and ur money, your woman and all what u have in the great province of Sindh.  And yet it is Hemu Kalani?? How very ungrateful of you!  
You must also analyse. Do the people in India speak ill of their Punjab as well or they have injected the tirade against the Pakistan Punjabis? And if so then the purpose of sowing all this misunderstanding must be clear to u.

Oh Lord! Bless My Mother Sindh With More Hemu Kalanis             

 

23rd March is that glittering day in the glorious History of our gregarious

Sindh when a worthy son was born to a simple, proud and blessed mother. This

great son of a gifted mother grew up to help in changing History of our

Motherland, Sindh, in particular and Mother India, in general. He proudly,

valiantly and gladly sacrificed his life so that the lives of his kinsmen and

countrymen will never again be spent in ignominious chains and demeaning

fetters.

 

In the glorious History of our beloved gregarious, grand and great Mother Sindh,

there have been countless noble and worthy children of Jeejal Sindhrree, who had

laid down their lives for the Freedom, Emancipation, Enlightenment and

Effervescence of this venerable dhartee â€" land of our ancestors.

 

Sindhis had also been in the forefront in the valiant struggle against slavery,

subjugation, oppression and tyranny. Remember, for hundreds of years Mother

Sindh and Mother India were colonised, enslaved and terrorised by the brutal

British Raj. Gone were the independence, self-respect and peace of the

peace-loving, secular-minded, Sufi and spiritual people of Sindh and India as a

whole.

 

And, when turbulences become Tsunamis and the going gets tough, the pain and

agony becomes unbearable and the ship flounders and is about to sink, the

Helmsman, high above in Heavens, sends His worthy and noble, brave and valiant,

true and real captains and helmsmen who, with His Help, take control of the

wallowing and crippled ship.

 

In the 1940s, the ship of India was in dire straits and sinking! A great

Mahatma, a simple man, a courageous man, a genuine man, a veritable leader,

pleaded to his countrymen to Rise, Stand Up and Be Counted! Thus began the Civil

disobedience movement, throughout India, against the ignominious British rule.

Mahatma Gandhi’s call was answered by almost every full-blooded Indian,

everywhere, including Sindh. In 1942, Gandhiji started the “Quit Indiaâ€

Movement

with a slogan and appeal to the entire nation of, “Do or Die.â€

 

 

People of Sindh gave whole-hearted support to that Movement and the call of the

Mahatma. One such valiant and courageous young man was mitthrro suhnno Saaeen

Hemu Kalani, a young man still in his teens.

 

Today, we pay our humble tributes to a valiant young man, a filial son of Mother

Sindh, who did not even enter into his second decade of life on Earth, when he

and his comrades and group of close friends, gladly and proudly anwered Mahatma

Gandhi’s call and went on streets demanding the ouster of the Colonialists

from

Sindh and India.

 

 

Shaheed Hemu Kalani, has just turned nineteen, but, there was a mountain of

anger and anguish rising within him against the disgraceful and dishonourable

British rule and an Ocean of longing, yearning and craving raging within him to

bring the tyrant oppressors and the infamous tormentors, the Colonial British

down onto their knees.

 

 

There was a train loaded with Tanks, Guns, Bullets, Bombs and Arms and

Ammunition, together with the Armed Personnel, British soldiers and European

Battalions, heading towards Sindh to contain the disturbances and civil

disobedience movement in Sindh. Young Hemu and his friends, decided to derail

the train. With hastily collected simple tools, started to dismantle the fish

plates from tracks of the Railway and unplugging their nuts and bolts.

 

 

Inexperienced, naïve, simple young men were not able to successfully cripple

the

Railway tracks as the British forces came after them. Hemu Kalani saved his

friends, by asking them to run for their lives. In his brave efforts to save his

friends, Hemu wase caught by the British soldiers, hand-cuffed and imprisoned.

 

He was brutally and savagely tortured by the British in the prison to name the

rest of the group members who were with him on that fateful day when they tried

to derail the train. He was also asked to name his friends for his freedom. He

screamed in agony, suffered in pain, but did not divulge any name to his

tormentors. This valiant son of Sindh stood firm on his convictions and beliefs.

Ultimately, the case of sabotage was launched against Hemu Kalani. Despite pleas

and appeals from the people of Sindh, Hemo was sentenced to death by the British

Judges and British-colonial Court and subsequently sent to gallows on 21st

Januray, 1943. At the age of only nineteen years, Hemu attained Martyrdom,

Shahadat! Saaeen Hema Kalani Shaheed who will always remain a shining and

twinkling star on the bright and brilliant sky of Sindh.

However, you are requested not to mix religions and don't insult Islam for your cause.

Hemu Kalanis may be a great person but how can you call a Hindu as Shaheed.

This is something very common in all nationalists which I hate.

Dear Friends,
 
World Meteorological Day will be observed across the globe including Pakistan with the global theme "Climate for You" on March 23 (Wednesday). Various events such as conferences, symposia and exhibitions for meteorological professionals, community leaders and the general public are arranged to raise awareness among people about climate change and weather variabilities. 
Many prizes for meteorological research are also announced on the day while some countries issue postage stamps reflecting event's theme or mark a country's meteorology achievements.
, Director General, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Arif Mehmood said there is dire need to develop strategy for water security and rapid climate changes which are affecting common man in the country.
He said rapid glacier melt may cause water crisis in the country so a comprehensive plan for saving water is crucial to overcome its shortage.
To mark the day, a meteorological exhibition will be arranged at the Institute of Meteorology and Geophysics, Karachi, he said.
The discussion programmes in connection with met day will be arranged while the meteorological instruments will be displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition will remain open for students and general public from 1000 to 1700 hours on March 24 and 25.
A two-day international conference on climate change on science and technology concluded on Tuesday which was attended by representatives of SAARC countries formulating strategies to overcome affects of climate changes in the region.
The International Meteorological Organization was established at the first International Meteorological Congress in Vienna, Austria, in 1873.
The organization aimed to establish meteorological station networks. These networks were linked by telegraph and improved weather forecasts. This contributed to shipping services' safety and efficiency.
The International Meteorological Organization became the World Meteorological Organization on March 23, 1950. It became the UN's specialized agency for meteorology, operational hydrology and related geophysical sciences in 1951.
World Meteorological Organization plays a crucial role in contributing to people's safety and welfare. Its work is important in providing food security, water resources and transport. World Meteorological Day has been observed on March 23 each year since 1961.
Each year, on 23 March, the World Meteorological Organization, its 189 members and the worldwide meteorological community celebrate World Meteorological Day around a chosen theme.
