Open letter to the Pakistan government and its UK representative
Assalamu alaikum,
We write to you in the blessed month of Ramadhan: the month in which Allah (swt) showers His blessings on the Ummah, opens the gates of Jannah, closes the gates of Jahannum, and when Muslims across the world pray for Allah (swt) to bless this Ummah with victory.
Many a time, the Pakistan diaspora in the UK has demanded answers – from you and your representatives in the UK – for the treachery you have committed against the people of Pakistan. It seems your government has no answers to these demands and prefers to hide behind slander and rhetoric.
Pakistan faces a grave crisis on every front and requires a deep and far reaching political vision to lead it out of this problematic time. Yet the sum response of the regime you represent is the sale of some mangos to America, to depend upon US military aid with conditions that expect the Pakistan army to murder its own citizens and compromise its sovereignty on vital issues.
Your democracy has shown itself to be no different to the military dictatorship that preceded it. It justifies its stance with its paymasters so that it may line its pockets with aid at the expense of the people. The same paymasters who supported Hosni Mubarak, the former Fir'awn of Egypt, who now faces charges of corruption and murder caged in a courtroom.
Has the Pakistani regime learned nothing from the millions who turned out in Egypt, a country ruled for decades by a brutal secular dictator and loyal slave of America? People there finally made their voices heard yet now, the Pakistan regime behaves more like Fir'awn and abducts members of Hizb ut Tahrir.
When CIA backed bombs strike Pakistan's cities and political violence and criminality engulf Karachi, does the Zardari-Gilani regime think that arresting non-violent political activists, who have no weapons except ideas and words of truth, is the best use of the security forces?
Just as in Egypt, where a million people in Tahrir Square called for Islamic government on the eve of this blessed month of Ramadhan, the people of Pakistan – from the military, judiciary, economists, students, the masses and increasingly even politicians – are beginning to understand that it is only the Islamic Khilafah system that can solve the problems of Pakistan, not the clueless secular regimes that have plagued it and resulted in an infestation of corrupt scoundrels in the highest positions of power.
The Khilafah will move to end the killings in Karachi. It would not tolerate the existence of criminal gangsters under the guise of politicians who fan the flames of sectarianism, abusing and killing the people for the sake of power and wealth. It would not seek to make political deals with these people, as your regime does, just to secure your own government.
The Khilafah will remove the American military presence from Pakistan; it will not allow a single CIA agent, Blackwater-Xe mercenary or a solitary drone to remain on any part of its territory. In 1947, the Muslims of the sub-continent did not give their lives and wealth to throw off British rule and secure themselves from oppression in India only to accept the oppression of America. They sacrificed so that they and their children could live in safety and tranquillity under the shade of Islam – yet your regime now locks up those who work for Islam!
The Khilafah will move to end the artificially induced energy crisis that has been created by the sheer incompetence, greed and inability of secular rulers like you in managing Pakistan's vast resources.
The Khilafah would not allow foreign companies to come and lay claim to resources that belong to the people, only to sell it back to them at a huge mark up.
The Khilafah will solve the rampant inflation and crushing poverty faced by tens of millions of Pakistanis on a daily basis. It is intolerable that people live in squalor and poverty due to the failed policies of corrupt and selfish rulers – and not because Allah (swt) did not bless the land with ample resources.
The Khilafah will replace the fiat currency model – failing in the United States and Europe in front of our very eyes – with the gold standard, bringing much needed currency stability for the individual and businesses alike.
The Khilafah will move to invest heavily in areas of agriculture and industry to create jobs and wealth, as opposed to your failed solution of simply turning on the print machine at the State bank.
Despite your vulgar and oppressive tactics, Hizb ut-Tahrir will continue to expose your treachery and your slavish relationship with the US. We do not hide behind rhetoric or propaganda, for we have a solution to give to the people of Pakistan which neither you, your cronies or your corrupt system can deliver.
Hizb ut-Tahrir's vision for Pakistan far exceeds your shallow, self centred policies which are driven by America. We present a vision for Pakistan which is enlightened, protects the life, property and honour of the people and above all is motivated by the Aqeeda of Islam.
This is the month when people are raising their hands making dua to Allah (swt). His beloved Messenger (saw) said that the dua of the oppressed has no screen between him and Allah (swt). Millions of people are being oppressed by Pakistan's regime while it fails to solve their problems yet itself lives in luxury.
The establishment of Khilafah is an inevitable matter in the hands of Allah (swt). It will surely be established and for a surety end your tyrannical rule – just as the rule of the tyrants in the Middle East is ending.
Wassalamu alaikum
