MOTORWAY POLICE BUSTED A GANG OF CRIMINALS AND ARRESTED THREE DACOITS.
Motorway Police busted a gang of criminals and arrested three dacoits, who were involved to loot road users on Murree Expressway by stopping them on gun point and recovered wire of Rs. 40,000/-. As per details, Motorway Police was informed by a road user that some dacoits looted his wire worth Rs.40,000/- and ran away in a Suzuki pickup No.IDT-1734. On this information, Motorway police alerted all patrolling cars. After few minutes NH&MP officers DSP Syyed Iqrar Hussain Shah, SPO Tayyab Nazir, SPO Malik Awais and PO Muhammad Shafiq saw the said Suzuki pickup and signaled to stop, but the driver of pickup instead of stopping it sped away and tried to run away. Motorway police officers chased the pickup and bursted the tyre of pickup with firing. After some moments, motorway police succeeded to arrest three dacoits namely Fayyaz, Azeem and Amjad, and recovered the looted wire alongwith arms & ammunition. The arrested culprits admitted that they are involved in different dacoities and the gang is consisting of 7 members and the head of the gang is Mr. Talat s/o Mehmood. Later on, the arrested dacoits alongwith the arms and ammunitions were handed over to the local police for further legal action and investigation. The Inspector General, National Highways & Motorway Police Mr. Zafarullah Khan has appreciated the performance of the officers who took part in this incident.
