US cannot subjugate Pakistan

 

Mr. Cameron Munter, your desire for improvement of ties with Pakistan is fully appreciated. However, the problem with hawks in Washington is that they want these terms of mututal ties with Pakistan to roll through the barrel of gun. These policy makers must ponder that this gun boat diplomacy is not only very costly but has been a failure even in the case of subjugating a non nuclear Iran, so how they expect it to succeed with a nuclear Pakistan. It should also be remembered that the then Pakistan under Z.A. Bhutto told Henry Kissenger on the French nuclear reprocessing plant issue that if you spit and ask us to clean, we may do it. But if you spit and ask us to lick it we won't . In the same context I will suggest you to read my email to President Barack Obama, which out lines the way out to mend the relationship with Pakistan. Wishing you a Happy New Year and best of luck in your endeavors to mend the broken friendship between Pakistan and the United States of America.
