Local U.S. official advocates the death of American Muslims

Islam Times - Muslims living in America reacted with shock and anger at a local U.S. politician who seemed to be calling for the murder of Muslims living in the U.S...

6 March 2011

Villa Park, California council woman Deborah Pauly was speaking at a protest against "sharia" outside a venue for ICNA. (Islamic Circle for North America).

"I don't even care if you think I'm crazy anymore. I have a beautiful daughter, I have a beautiful 19 year old son who is a United States marines. As a matter of fact, I know quite a few marines who will be willing to help these terrorists to an early meeting in paradise,"

ICNA had organized the event to raise money for the homeless, battered women, disaster relief and a host of other humanitarian causes within the U.S. The event took place on February 14th, and footage of the speech by the council woman and the heckling of Muslims has been making rounds on the internet.

ICNA has been serving the North American Muslim community for well over 40 years according to its website.

In a video release by the Council on American Islamic Relations, protestors can be seen yelling at Muslims as they walked to the event.

Little girls wearing headscarves and boys holding onto their mother's hands scurried by as about 400 angry white faces yelled and taunted at them amid a sea of American flags. "Go home and beat your wife!" One hate filled woman screamed. "You don't belong here, go back to where you came from," bellowed an angry, red faced man.

The rise of anti-Islamic sentiment in the U.S. has come even as organizations such as CAIR have made every effort to "reach out" to non-Muslims.

There is a growing sentiment amongst Muslims in America that mere niceties are not enough to protect them from the vicious propaganda of hate and vilification that has been coordinated by Jewish and Christian pro-Zionist groups.

According to community leaders like Imam Abdul Aleem Musa (h.a.), a veteran who has over 30 years of civil rights and interfaith experience, the hateful rhetoric needs to be tackled head on and thorny issues such as the Zionist state, Hamas, Hizbollah and other "hot button" issues need to be addressed in a frank manner.

Organizations such as CAIR that have spent decades mollifying American law enforcement and other groups are now changing their tune as they realize that a more aggressive and outright posture needs to be taken by the American Muslim community if it wants to survive the severe onslaught that it faces.

After more than 20 years of cooperating with the F.B.I., CAIR was dropped from the list of F.B.I.'s favoured organizations and placed under investigation and surveillance because two members of the Holy Land foundation were indicted for funding "terrorist," even though the charges against the two were flimsy and they had nothing to do with CAIR.

Certain members of CAIR were identified by the F.B.I. as "unindicted co-conspirators," leading to the F.B.I. cutting all links with CAIR.

CAIR has responded by changing its strategy and has become more aggressive in its dealings with the F.B.I.

CAIR is currently suing the F.B.I. for attaching a tracking device to the car of a California Muslim man without a warrant.

Deborah Pauly's office had no comment when contacted about this story.

comment:

Why isn't she arrested and charged with inciting hatred and killing of innocent people?! Muslims should sue her for death threats! These people should be told they don't belong here and need to go back to their Europe, they have committed genocide against the Native population and stole their land. If anyone doesn't belong in this land then it's these people.

UN HUMANITARIAN CHIEF: “WE CAN SAVE LIVES IN DRC BUT CONFLICT MUST END”

(Kinshasa / New York / Geneva, 9 March 2011): On the first day of her visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Valerie Amos, visited humanitarian projects in the North Kivu province, one of the worst affected by violence.

Ms. Amos expressed her concern about the lack of protection for civilians, and emphasised the continuing need for humanitarian assistance.  “The daily reality for many people in this province is immensely difficult.  Armed men regularly attack villages, looting, raping, maiming, killing, kidnapping, and burning the villages before leaving,” Ms. Amos said, “This forces entire communities to live in a perpetual flight mode, relying on humanitarian assistance for their survival.”  Since 2009, over half a million internally displaced people have returned to areas as they become more stable, but an even greater number have since been newly displaced elsewhere.

Sexual violence, mostly committed by armed groups, remains a huge problem.  Thousands of incidents are reported in North and South Kivu every year.  “Sexual violence is only one symptom of a much deeper problem.  Entire communities are being deprived of their right to a dignified life,” said Ms. Amos.

Humanitarian operations are heavily affected by insecurity.  In 2010, 200 incidents affecting humanitarian workers were recorded in the two provinces, compared to 179 during 2009.  Over 80 percent of these involved non-governmental organizations (NGOs), which are crucial partners of the United Nations in providing humanitarian aid. Although operations often have to be suspended in different areas due to insecurity, humanitarian workers continue their efforts to reach the most vulnerable and are able to assist at least 70 percent of those in need.

Humanitarian assistance can save lives and alleviate suffering, but the root causes of the crisis must be addressed”, said Ms. Amos, “Full support to disarmament, demobilisation and reintegration, and efforts to end impunity for those committing these crimes must be stepped up”, said Ms. Amos, who also expressed appreciation for the swift judicial response to mass rapes committed by members of the DRC military last January.

The Kivu provinces are the scene of armed conflict between the national army and various foreign and domestic armed opposition groups, including the Forces démocratiques de libération du Rwanda (FDLR) and the primarily Ugandan Allied Democratic Forces (ADF).  The provinces currently host approximately 1.3 million internally displaced persons (IDPs).  Over 80 percent of the displaced live with host families, which increases the burden on  people who are already vulnerable and have limited resources.  With the support of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO) and the rest of the international community, the Government is leading efforts to stabilize the area through the Stabilization and Reconstruction Plan for Areas Emerging from Armed Conflict (STAREC).

Dear all
History tells us that PPP stalwarts used Bhutto's sacrifices as sympathy-filled emotional tool to win elections. After coming to power their relentless corruption became a powerful reason to loose that very tool and thus the upcoming elections. This is because of the total disconnection of PPP leadership with the public needs, feelings and emotions. As opposed to this disconnect, ZAB always kept himself connected with the public pulse and expressed it meticulously with rationality filled with emotions in a precise combination. The present leadership of PPP should learn a lesson or two from its founding leader Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. The psychology of sympathy votes wont work or even last forever especially when the major players of Bhutto family have already lost their lives.
