Javed Chaudhry claims defamation suit against Such TV

Islamabad: Famous column writer and anchor person, Javed Chaudhry has claimed defamation suit against Chairperson Such TV, Iftikhar Naqvi, Chief Operating Officer of the program 'Sub ki baat', Solat Raza, Host of the program, Ghulam Akbar and Arsalan Khalid. Javed Chaudhry has sent them the legal notice through his lawyer, Hafiz Arfat Ahmed Chaudhry and a copy of the notice has been forwarded to Chairman PEMRA.

 

According to Javed Chaudhry's point of view, Ghulam Akbar and Arsalan Khalid have tried to defame him by imposing false allegations. Javed Chaudhry said that he wants either a solid proof of all the allegations imposed against him or to refute all these false accusations. He warns a strict action against all the persons responsible for these false allegations within the next 15 days in case if the responsible persons do not apologize.

 

In such TV program ' Sub ki Baat', Ghulam Akbar accused Javed Chaudhry of being a ghost writer of Malik Riaz while writing columns for him for Rs 3 lac each. Javed Chaudhry has been accused of having a 10 marla house in Bahria Town and he has written book for Malik Riaz and has received Rs 10 million for that. According to Javed Chaudhry, all these allegations are false and baseless and the Such TV and its management would have to be answerable in front of court for these false accusations.
