AKU 10th INTER-UNIVERSITY BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT INAUGURATED

Karachi:The inaugural of the 10th edition of Aga Khan University (AKU)
Inter-University Basketball Tournament for boys was held yesterday at the Sports
Centre Gymnasium. Dr. Jahangir Khan, Manager Strategic Planning, AKU inaugurated
the Tournament along with Mr. Riaz Akbar Contractor, Chief Organizer & Manager,
AKU Sports Centre, Mr. Hanif Shariff, Sr. Manager Administrative Services, Mr.
Abdul Nasir, Secretary, Sindh Basketball Association and other officials.. The
Teams were present in their colorful sports uniform at the opening ceremony. On
the opening day 3 matches were played. The Results were as follows:

DOW UNIVERSITY OF HEALT SCIENCES (DUHS) Vs AGA KHAN UNIVERSITY (AKU)
DUHS won the match, Score 65 - 50 Points.
Half time, Score was 31 - 21 Points in favour of DUHS

PTV MD Yousaf Baig Mirza is inducting employees on senior position on huge salaries without adopted proper procedure. All these are his dear and near who are also working for a Lahore based a private channel and using PTV equipment. Ringeela of PTV is busy to destroy the asset & wealth of a national organization. How much salary & emolument of Ringeela? One million per month. He is looting a national organization. Where are the people of FIA and NAB? Who will stop the Ringeela.

PAKISTAN PARTICIPATES IN 14th ASIAN INVESTMENT CONFERENCE (AIC) AT HONG KONG

 

Islamabad, March 11

 

A two-member delegation led by Mr. Muhammad Ejaz Chaudhary Federal Secretary Ministry of Privatisation while representing Pakistan, is participating in the 14th Asian Investment Conference at Hong Kong, being held under the auspices of Credit Suisse from March 21 to 25, 2011.

 

The Pakistan delegation will brief the delegates regarding the economy of Pakistan and the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Program being undertaken in the area of privatization and the government's plans to address the challenges facing the country, including in the area of infrastructure, the role of Privatisation Policy in this regard. Government of Pakistan is presently actively considering privatisation related Capital market transactions and the AIC will prove to be an ideal forum to provide in-depth information to investors on Pakistan's economic development and to obtain investors' feedback.

 

The AIC is now considered to be the premier event on the annual investor conference calendar in the Asia Pacific region. The conference brings together more than 1400 institutional and high net worth investors, 260 Asian companies, and top officials from governments, central banks, multilateral agencies and a number of leading academic institutions from around the world.
