The indian airforce is the biggest enemy of its own. It has set a record that no other airforce in the word can easily break. In the last 40 years it has crossed the landmark of crashing its 1000'th plane. It is some record!!!! One can blame the older planes and non-availability of spares for some of the crashes, but according to their own investigations nearly 40% of these crashes are due to pilot error and many cases are still under investigation. The list of crashes include 2 Sukhoi SU-30MK1 aircrafts and Mig-29s. I am wondering what the state of affairs be when indians will start getting more of these modern aircrafts..., when the cannot even fly the Mig-21s....

Indian efforts to produce its own aircraft has become a shame for their production facilities. It has been more than 3 decades and they are still struggling to induct their LCAs ... and now their new definition of 'indigenous' is 'anything that you can get hold of from any country wishing to export'. Now they are involving many foreign companies to help them fly it, that includes engines, and much more...by the time it is ready to fly in the airforce it would be an obsolete frame, with costs higher than the F-16s.... They are also planning to buy the famous 126 planes and short-listed eurofighter and french rafael ...the irony is, it will drain india its $20-30 billion dollars, and they will get a plane of the 90s, with no  AESA radar, planes for which Pakistan is already fine tuning its JF-17s Block II and the J-10s....the most cost effective planes in the world equipped with AESA radars.....and our military and Chinese are to be saluted for these low-cost, high quality achievements...!!!!!!

Long live Pakistan!

Atif Bhai

I think you have not read the e-mail carefully. The real message was that: if the allegations are completely baseless why only fuss about it like a helpless widow.  What is stopping MQM from taking legal action? If a person or a political party is truthful and on the right path, they won't tolerate malicious allegations like this.  When I was subjected to exteremely abusive language by Iftikhar Qaiser at the MQM Secretriat, no body took any action against him from the MQM leadership.  Only Altaf Hussain sahib apologised for the behaviour of the culprit. I had to go to Court to stop Iftikar Qaisar from doing the coverages as GEO TV's permanent employee.  Alhamdolillah I have no grievances today.

I think you missed the whole point I was trying to communicate here. Only Amjad Malik Bhai understood it to certain extent.  Altaf Hussain sahib is not my "Lord".  If he was, I could not have written an article like this.

http://pkpolitics.com/2011/01/14/the-tale-of-a-new-animals%E2%80%99-republic-of-karaanchi/

Now don't be lazy and please do read the above article carefully, and tell me if any 'maai ka laal' ever had the guts to speak out his opinion about MQM's ethnic biases like this..???I wrote htis article right after Wali Khan babar's death , who was  member of our extended family. As a result of the threats I received (see a couple of comments at the end of the article above,  University administration stopped me from attending the campus for a week.
But that was an article based on the author's personal opinion. It was not a news report and sis not have the need to be substantiated by the evidences and proofs.

Despite all the allegations against MQM, a person or a group is considered innocent unless proven guilty.  And they can only be proven guilty if our news stories are substantiated by the evidences and proofs, not mere hearsay.

Mr. Afshan Bangash

Dr. Qureshi's information is correct or not, but you are supporting MQM like they have purchased you for few coins, and it is for sure, they had.
MQM is the third biggest party! agreed, but it is the most yateem party of the world, who seems to be involved in target killing, and killing innocent people and doing attacks.
The fatty leader of MQM is eating pigs in London, and you people never stop praising your Lord Altaf Hussain. I think you all journalists are just for sale, and US and Political parties purchased you to sale Pakistani nation and their feelings. Go to Hell!!!

He does not say what the unviable US alternatives are.

In a message dated 8/27/2011 5:10:59 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, pak.econo.watch@gmail.com writes:

China asked to finance Iran gas pipeline project

US offered alternatives impractical

Islamabad: [August 27]

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Saturday said Chinese companies should help Pakistan complete $1.3 billion Iran gas pipeline project.

Government is desperately looking foreign funds to complete peace pipeline project but American opposition is keeping major donors away, it said.

Gas shortages has not only arresting economic growth but has also affected almost all walks of live which can be resolved through proper financing, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.

Pakistan should also raise part of the finances through domestic funding for which banks can make a consortium, he said.

American continue to stick to their stance despite the severe crisis in Pakistan which proves that they are not concerned about our economy but their own geopolitical interests, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal.

The US is offering unviable alternatives to Pakistan which will be an extra load on the exchequer, he said adding that US should not hit Iran's energy sector at the cost of Pakistan.

He said that US is ignoring the fact that gas contributes around 53 per cent in Pakistan energy mix which cannot be changed.

Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that fuel shortages have forced the government to ration supplies, resort to gas load shedding in summer for the very first time and face protests which calls for urgent measures.

The pipeline which will provide 21.5 million cubic meters of gas per day to Pakistan has already been delayed by a decade and further delay can prove suicidal for a country facing a shortfall of around 2.22 million cubic feet a day, he warned.

Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that India has apparently abandoned the project but energy deficiency will push it to re-join IPI as TAPI cannot be regarded as an alternative.

London: Altaf Hussain self exiled leader of MQM-A caught escaping to South Africa by the authorities. According to sources, 'Altaf Hussain was hiding in the Wrexham area close to Slough in Berkshire for the past few days. He was stopped when was going to Heathrow Airport in a private taxi. Interestingly the taxi driver was a Pakistani whom Mr Hussain thought as an English man due to his appearance.

According to sources Altaf Hussain told the authorities that, 'he is leaving UK and going to South Africa for security reasons and personal protection'. According to sources he was told that, 'security can be provided to him in the UK'. It is not yet clear if Mr Hussain detained or taken in protective custody. Mr Altaf Hussain is a British Citizen and living in self imposed exile since 1992.  He is never been to Pakistan since 1992, not a registered voter now and never voted in any elections ever since.
Earlier yesterday it was reported that British police raided two addresses including an office of  MQM-A in London in connection with the on going murder investigation of Dr Imran Farooq. It is reported that police took the crucial evidence in custody including the carpets for forensic investigation.   According to reports 35 well trained officers of the Scotland Yard took part in the operation on Thursday 24th August 2011".
It is reported that those MQM-A terrorists arrested in Karachi were actually coming from Colombo Sri Lanka and had connections with the murder of Dr Imran Farooq. The arrests took place as result of tip off from British authorities.
According to reports both Khalid Shamim and another MQM-A terrorists who were arrested in Karachi while arriving from Colombo actually called in to be eliminated in Karachi by their own party MQM-A.   They had crucial information related to Dr Imran Farooq's murder as well as target killing cells in various countries including South Africa. They knew too much about the MQM-A illegal and terrorist activities and needed to be eliminated that is why they were called in Karachi. They are lucky to be alive in the custody of Pakistani authorities than killed by their own death squad.
