He said that we can strengthen business community with the help of oneness which is imperative for the survival of businesses.

Bajwa said that he will personally visit all chambers, with special focus on the neglected ones to unite business community which will pave way for resolution of issues to the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

Unveiling details of the plan, he informed that another meeting is scheduled at Lahore where representatives of all the trade associations would assemble to chalk our strategy.

Amir Atta Bajwa said we need enabling environment to conduct businesses with peace of mind, adding that the umbrella organization of business community will do everything in reach to attain the goal.

At the occasion, Chairman FPCCI, Capital Office, Hameed Akhtar Chadda, said that this is a major initiative to improve linkages with all the chambers of commerce which must continue.

He said that earlier chambers in Rawalpindi region use to visit Lahore but now their issues would be resolved in Islamabad.

We will establish help desks in FPCCI's regional offices to provide adequate support to call chambers and businesses, said Chadda.

Chairman Media FPCCI Malik Sohail Hussian said that business community should try to resolve issues with the help of media which is playing a very positive role in national development.

He said that national business leaders Tariq Sayeed and Iftikhar Ali Malik have devoted a good chunk of their life to create linkages among businessmen aimed at improvement. Now what we need is enhanced interaction, Sohail stressed

The first meeting of its type was also attended by President Islamabad CCI Mehfooz Ilahi, VP Rawalpindi CCI Mian Atique, President Jhelum CCI Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal, President Attock CCI Arif Rafique, President Poultry Association Asim Raza, Chairman FPCCI Standing Committee on Health Tariq Mehmood, Zahid Bakhtawari and others.

The participants raised variety of questions and discussed in detail the issues like bungling in allotment of commercial and industrial plots, role of mid-level politicians in hampering businesses, load shedding and over billing by gas and power utilities, increasing incidents of kidnapping in Jehlum and lack of information.

Stressing coordination and communication, Tariq Mehmood pointed out that pharmaceutical community faced some problems at the hands of former secretary health.

The business leaders lauded the move by FPCCI and demanded that all economic development groups should be included in the plan.

They said that the incumbent set up should have initiated this cause eight months back to ensure greater coordination and synergism.
