Pakistan, UK to continue Cooperation: CG

Pakistan's Counsel General(CG) in Birmingham Shair Bahader Khan has said that that strong friendly relations exist between Pakistan and Britain and both the countries will continue to cooperate with each other in all spheres of life. 

He said that Pakistan-UK relationships are getting stronger day by day and our strong people to people contacts demonstrate the intensity of our relationship. 
Talking to Pakistani journalists, Khan, the newly appointed CG in Birmingham said that the recently concluded Enchased Strategic Dialogue between Pakistan and UK was another example of Pakistan 's resolve to further strengthen ties with Britain . 

UK is one of the biggest aid provider to the Pakistan with averaging £350 million a year until 2015, he said adding that UK is the first priority distinction for the Pakistani students for their education due to the high standard.
Khan said that Pakistan took pride in its diaspora and the achievements they have made in various fields. Around 1.3 million British Pakistanis are playing an important role in the progress and development of the British society. 

He said that government of Pakistan is dedicated to facilitate overseas Pakistanis and ensure that their concerns are listened to and addressed. In this regards, Shair Bahader said that best possible consular facilities are provided to the overseas Pakistan at the Birmingham Consulate General.
CG Birmingham urged the community leaders to portray the true image of Pakistan at international level. In this regard, he asked the young British Pakistanis to come forward and play their role in order to dispel the growing misperceptions and misrepresentations about Pakistan and Islam. 

Pakistan consulate in Birmingham will continue the process of dialogue and consultation with the overseas Pakistanis as it values their guidance and suggestions, Bahader Khan concluded.
