Makhdoom Amin Fahim calls on Dr. Manmohan Singh
Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim, Pakistani Senior Minister for
Commerce, who on a visit to India, called on Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime
Minister of India at the PM House here today.
During the meeting, Makhdoom Amin Fahim appreciated the active
participation and keen interest of both Pakistani and Indian business
communities during the business conclave which was organized by the
Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Mumbai and New
Delhi. The Senior Minister thanked the Indian government for its decision to
support Pakistan in the WTO on EU waiver issue. The Minister also extended
an invitation to the Prime Minister of India on behalf of the Pakistani
leadership to visit Pakistan.
Dr Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India, stressed the need
that both Pakistan and India should jointly work together for economic
prosperity of the poor masses and in facing future financial challenges. He
assured the Pakistani Commerce Minister of his Government's full cooperation
in boosting Trade links between the two neighbouring countries.
