Why the HRCP does not help this young student. It will be a matter of shame for Asma Jahangir and other champions of human rights if this student will not be able to make for the conference for lack of resources. It receives hundreds of millions in dollars every year from USA and other western countries and their leaders get millions in salary but can not help a poor student because he does not belong to their upper class.
In the end i appeal to Asma Jahangir to provide this boy all the funds to enable him to make to the conference.

Subject: [Pak-Media] Shahbaz Sharif please help this youth

After Zardari, Gilani and company have ditched such a talented student, you are requested to help him since you are well known for giving talented students their due.. It is just a matter of about 200,000 rupees. Zardari and Gilani will drink scotland's water with it but wont help any talent.

They should jump and die in Lyari in utter shame.

A very talented student...Ali Suleman, son of a journalist has been choosen out of 26 thousand aspirants from this land to represent Pakistan in Geneva, at a human rights conference for 7 days.
Since he is the only Pakistani, he shall represent Pakistan as it's ambassador in the conference where India and some other countries are supposed to launch bitter and baseless attacks on Pakistan and if he will not be able to make it to the conference Pakistan will be defenseless.
The organisers are only providing stay and three time food. While this student is supposed to purchase his own return ticket, flight insurance and visa fee.
He has written to the President, Prime Minister, Ministry of Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Human Rights for help. But it is apparent all these leaders are sleeping and do not have interest in safeguarding Pakistan's vital interests. They are enjoying their rule and costly visits abroad to make merry.
If such talented youths are not encouraged, Pakistan will be a mindless and barren land.Is that these rulers want....??
The young man, an engineering final year student of COMSATS, ISLAMABAD THE HEARTLESS.....can be reached at his mobile number03455898691.

22nd July 2011, Jati, Thatta District, Sindh – United Nations Development Programme’s (UNDP) National Goodwill Ambassador for Early Recovery and international tennis star, Aisam ul Haq announced a donation of USD 10,000 for flood Early Recovery activities in Pakistan. The donation comes from the Haq Foundation and through funds contributed by the ATP World Tour USA - the professional regulatory body of the game of tennis.

Aisam made this announcement on a visit to Mazdoor Village, Tehsil Jati, District Thatta where UNDP is engaged in a village rehabilitation project for flood affectees. This village was completely destroyed by the floods of 2010 after which UNDP is supporting the reconstruction of 198 houses, installation of solar powered street lights, rehabilitation of community infrastructure, and livelihoods and vocational training for females.

This is the second such donation through Aisam ul Haq. Earlier, international tennis champions Bryan Brothers contributed USD 10,000 through which 9 houses were built in Bagho Teweno in the Dadu District.

UNDP is working across 22 worst-affected districts by restoring livelihoods through job creation, repairing basic community infrastructures and services, and strengthening local government offices to get public services running again. An estimated estimated 915,000 people will be benefitting across 700 villages through UNDP’s interventions.

Aisam was accompanied by the UNDP Pakistan Country Director Toshihiro Tanaka and other officials from the UN development agency as well as local implementing partner representatives from Health and Nutrition Development Society (HANDS) which is one of UNDP’s partners in the Early Recovery project.

Addressing a community gathering and handing over keys to newly-built houses Aisam said “I’m deeply impressed by the resilience and self-help spirit of the community. I am delighted to be here and to see the joy returning to the people’s face as I hand over the keys to their houses.”  Toshihiro said, “Restoring livelihoods and hope of the people from the devastation of the floods requires concerted efforts of everyone for sustained period. We are grateful to Aisam for his support to the people affected by the floods and for being a role model for every one of us, particularly, young people, to follow.”

South Korea wants to supercharge Pakistan's economy: Ambassador
Pakistan destined to become a developed nation: Choi Choong- Jee
Pakistan has great resources while we rely only on technology
Envoy seeks Pakistan's private sector role to boost two-way trade

Dated: July 22
Islamabad: South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Choi Choong- Jee on Friday said Pakistan's economy is showing clear signs of recovery that calls for enhanced trade between the two countries.

He said that Pakistan business community is strong enough to withstand all challenges and has a very favourable view for South Koreans but it is not translating into actual trade potential between the two countries.

Speaking at a reception hosted at his residence in honour on national trade leaders, the Ambassador said that our trade with India stands at $16 billion which will be doubled in few years; it is $ 1billion a day with China while bilateral trade with Pakistan is mere $1.1 billion.

My country wants to enhance cooperation with Pakistan's government and private sector so that economy of this great nation can come out of problems like energy deficiency and it emerges as one of our major trading partner, he added

Choi Choong- Jee said that Pakistan has great resources and tremendous potential while we rely only on technology. Nothing can stop Pakistan from becoming a developed nation if it adopts few corrective measures, he said.

"I see business community of Pakistan as driving force for economic vitality," said Jee.

At the occasion, Tariq Sayeed, Vice President CACCI and former President FPCCI and SAARC CCI said that current volume of bilateral trade does not reflect the cordial relations between the two nations.

He said that 23 companies of South Korea are working in Pakistan and we have $443 million of trade deficit which is not significant.

We need to learn a lot from world's 15 largest economy, to contribute towards the noble cause of national development which will resolve many challenges faced by the country, said Tariq Sayeed.

Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, President FPCCI said that we should identify hitches barring trade and expressed resolve to contribute towards enhanced cooperation.

He said that the non-availability of proper information is one of the hurdles that need to be addressed urgently.

Speaking on the occasion, Iftikhar Ali Malik, VP Saarc CCI said that business community should develop linkages with Koreans and start sharing. He said that we could benefit from promising SME sector of the friendly country.

The veteran trade leader assured support in establishing contacts between business chambers of the two countries and promised to explore Korean automobiles, pharmaceutical, textiles, machinery and other relevant sectors.

Iftikhar Ali Malik welcomed the recent investment by South Korean companies in Pakistan saying that sectors like oil and gas, mining, energy, IT, telecom, food, agriculture, beverages, transport and tourism offer great opportunities to foreign investors.

Malik Sohail Hussain said that we should boost exchange of delegations and organise trade fairs to promote products and encourage investments.

Others present in the reception included VPs FPCCI, Aamir Atta Bajwa, Akbar Khan, Fazl Elahi, Capital Office officials Hameed Akhtar Chadda, Raza Khan, President Women's Chamber Samina Fazil, Sec. Gen Saarc CCI Iqbal Tabish, President Jehlum Chamber Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal, President Tribal Chamber Fayaz Ali,VP Attock Chamber Tariq Mahmood, Chairman Marble Association Shahid ur Rehman, Anayat Mirza and Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal.
