Dear Editor:

The chief justice is taking law in his own hands instead of making just decisions seeking public support like a politician. Since, when judiciary is allowed to make political statements? So, much for the independent judiciary!

"Chief Justice asks officials not to follow ` illegal orders` (The Dawn, April 9, 2011)

650 million reasons not to trust Britain's policy in Pakistan

pakistan-education

Cameron cuts education at home but gives £650m to Pakistan to indoctrinate the young with liberal western values

On Tuesday 6 April 2011 David Cameron visited Pakistan, he came bearing gifts and seemingly a guilty conscious about the old British colonial political failures. He was quoted as saying with regards to Kashmir "As with so many of the world's problems, we are responsible for the issue in the first place".

No one would argue with Cameron's assessment, however it only highlights why Britain should never be allowed to interfere in the affairs of Pakistan ever again. But interfere it will. The day-visit wasn't about Cameron's offloading Britain's colonial guilt but about ensuring the policy of creating more colonial minds continues. With a massive government deficit at home and years of cuts ahead Cameron has somehow managed to spare £650 million to give to Pakistan to fund future education projects. It makes Pakistan the biggest recipient of education aid from the UK.

The money will fund schools, training for 90,000 teachers and textbooks, all of which will aim to rid the country of "terrorism", so Yusuf Raza Giliani the Pakistani Prime Minister hopes, as he puts the blame for terrorism squarely at the door of illiteracy. Gilani's assessment is a very simplistic and misplaced one as it is like equating poverty to laziness. Terrorism in Pakistan is the creation of foreign meddling and not the lack of a school education.

Cameron and Gilani's worst fear is not an uneducated populace in Pakistan but the masses becoming better versed with the ideas of Islamic political change. It is for this reason the UK wishes to push a western styled secular education system in Pakistan, in order to subdue the Islamic sentiments of the masses.

The British policy towards Pakistan's education is little different to Pastor Terry Jones burning the Quran, only the £650 million will undoubtedly be used to promote western, liberal values ridding Pakistani education of any Islamic foundations.

Long gone are the days when Pakistani children were made to prove they were fulfilling their obligation of namaz whilst at school, and when the history of Islam was taught as more than just an academic subject. It was these very values that had inspired the creation of Pakistan in the first place.

Britain is no more a friend of Pakistan now than it was when the East India Company invaded the continent many years ago. It is the same old tactic with a little more sugar coating to deceive the Muslims once again. Money has been the aged old method by which Britain created havoc in colonial India, the tactics have not changed centuries later.

Prophet Mohammad (saw) said "A Believer is not stung from the same hole twice" (Muslim)

The only way to raise the thinking of the future generations of Pakistan is by going back to the Islamic values that inspired so many to sacrifice so much.

  | New Delhi, March 31, 2011

                                           Mahatma Gandhi.

The Mahatma's great grandson, Tushar Gandhi, has vehemently opposed the Gujarat government's decision to ban thecontroversial new bookthat portrays the Father of the Nation as a bisexual who left his wife Kasturba to be with his "lover", Hermann Kallenbach, in South Africa.

"It is the most un-Gandhian thing to do!" Tushar Gandhi said of the ban. "If you have a problem with the claims made in the book, then you have to counter them intellectually. Banning the book, in fact, will give it a halo, the status of a martyr. Banning anything is simply an easy way out for the government."

The ban on Joseph Lelyveld's Great Soul: Mahatma Gandhi And His Struggle was announced in the Gujarat Assembly by the chief minister, Narendra Modi. His announcement was supported by the Congress, which is the party of the Opposition in the Mahatma home state.

Modi said the book had "hurt the sentiments of those with a capacity for sane and logical thinking and the writer (had) indulged in the most reprehensible
act by hurting the sentiments of millions of people."

But another prominent member of the Gandhi family, Tara Gandhi Bhattacharjee, the Mahatma's grand-daughter and vicechairperson, Kasturba Gandhi National Memorial Trust, supported Tushar Gandhi's stand on the ban.

"The more we debate, the more credibility we give (to the claims made in the book)," she said. "We have not even read the book. Everyone, from readers to the government, must make informed decisions," she added.

Apart from the Mahatma's family, prominent historian Romila Thapar, who has had to face the charge of being a "deeply mendacious enemy of the Hindus", has spoken out against the Gujarat ban. "Banning of books is not associated with a free country," Thapar says.

Notwithstanding these sentiments, Union law minister Veerappa Moily has said the Centre was also planning to ban Great Soul. "It is demeaning to the nation," Moily said on Wednesday in Pune in response to a question on the government's response to the book.

The Gujarat government's move brings back memories of a similar action taken against the American scholar James Laine's book, Shivaji: The Hindu King in Muslim India, but the Supreme Court had struck it down on the ground that the ban did not follow the established procedure.

Lelyveld, as reported earlier, has said in a statement circulated by his publisher, Alfred A. Knopf, that media had "grossly distorted" the contents of his book. The Pulitzer Prize-winning author said, "I do not allege that Gandhi is racist or bisexual. "The word 'bisexual' nowhere appears in the book." His denial clearly has not had the intended effect in Gujarat at least.

The few people Colonel Muammar Gaddafi did business with regarded him as unpredictable, inconsistent and temperamental. President Ronald Reagan described him in 1986 as the mad dog of the Middle East", sent the Sixth Fleet to bomb his country and imposed a strict oil embargo. Gaddafi was a pariah, yet 20 years later, he had put Libya back among the world's top crude oil exporters, thanks mostly to US oil giants.Clearly he must have behaved more rationally in his dealings with the oil sector than in other domestic and foreign policy initiatives, perhaps because he was less involved. International oil companies also learned how to operate – and make a lot of money – in Libya's unstable, even hostile, business environment.Libya became independent in 1951, as the product of a union between waning British imperialism and a Saharan Muslim order, the Senussi, whose leader became Libya's king. Libya had long been known as
the "empty kingdom" and was destitute, since its only export was scrap iron collected from Second World War battlefields.Explorations by Italian geologists in the 1930s, continued by US army experts, suggested that there might be oil under this vast country of 1.7m sq km. Libya's 1955 Petroleum Law broke with the usual Middle Eastern practice of granting concessions to a single company, such as Anglo-Iranian in Iran, Aramco in Saudi Arabia and the Iraq Petroleum Company in Iraq. Libya instead offered many concessions, limited geographically and, in duration, to five years. Once oil was struck, this proved a wise decision. Some 10 companies joined the initial oil rush, and in 1961 oil was shipped for the first time from the terminal at Marsa el-Brega. In less than five years, production passed an unprecedented million barrels a day, and 19 companies, including Exxon, Shell, BP and ENI, were operating there; by 1968 there were 39. This new model for
oil exploitation gradually went global.Playing the oil companiesWhen Gaddafi took power in the coup of 1969, he was determined to get a higher price for his crude. On the advice of Saudi Arabia's first oil minister Abdullah al-Tariki (the "red sheikh", sacked by King Faisal for his outspokenness), he played one oil company against another, pitting the biggest, Esso, against a small independent, Occidental. He cut their daily production by half to try to force them to pay his government a higher price. Esso was able to replace its losses with production in other countries, but Occidental had no wells outside Libya. It was in a weak position, especially since the world's seven biggesplus the US company Gulf Oil, and the European/UK companies Royal Dutch Shell and BP.refused to let it have a single barrel. "It has put all its eggs in one basket," the Libyan negotiators sniggered. The company accepted the price increase. With the Suez Canal
closed, the Achnacarry cartel followed suit in September 1970, and at a stroke, prices and taxes rose by 20 per cent.Other oil exporting countries learned from this that it is better to deal with several operators than one, and to balance the majors with smaller companies without alternative resources. After that, independent and European state oil companies broke into the global oil scene.Gaddafi and his Revolutionary Command Council, taking their cue from Egypt's president Gamal Abdel Nasser, were determined to make the nation wealthy again. But they also had to consider bad precedents, too, such as the Iranian prime minister Mohammad Mossadeq, removed from power by the CIA in 1953 because he had dared to take on the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company; and the Algerian president Colonel Houari Boumedienne, who nationalized French-owned oil wells in 1971 only to be subject to a costly embargo.Libya's actions were surefooted. The shah of Iran's soldiers
occupied Abu Musa and the Tunb islands in the Gulf in December 1971, just before British forces withdrew from the region. To punish Britain for allowing this to happen, the Libyan government nationalized BP's assets. The pretext was flimsy but the stakes were high: BP owned the majority of the Sarir oilfield, the biggest in Libya. After a stormy legal battle, an agreement was signed restoring complete control of the oilfield to Libya. Every confrontation ended the same way: foreign technicians were harassed, work on platforms slowed and productivity was badly hit. Gulf, Philips, Amoco, Texaco, Socal and others abandoned the oilfields, and Libya, in disgust. The Libyan National Oil Company (NOC), which had been formed on the US model, had no trouble taking them over, and in a decade, national revenue quintupled, reaching $10,000 per capita in 1979.Trouble startsPolitics were the problem. The US State Department published its first list of state
sponsors of terrorism in 1979, and Libya figured prominently, because of its support for radical Palestinian groups. The US soon closed its embassy in Tripoli, and banned US citizens from buying Libyan crude. Then in June 1986, all trade with the Jamahiriya (Gaddafi's new national term, from the Arabic words for republic and the masses) was declared illegal. When Pan Am flight 103 was blown up over Lockerbie on December 21, 1988, and the French UTA flight 772 was attacked in November 1989, international sanctions were imposed on Libya, affecting the oil industry. These added to problems such as the fall in the global price of crude, the expense of big construction projects and some disarray in the domestic economy. (That was the result of attempting to follow the recommendations of the Green Book – Gaddafi's long and abstruse anarcho-collectivist tract, the "guide of the Revolution" preaching a third universal theory, halfway between
capitalism and Marxism.)Even though NOC easily found new markets in Europe, Turkey and Brazil to replace lost outlets in the US, the embargo ended its plans to develop oil exploration, petrochemicals and natural gas; these were put on hold for lack of western capital, technology, expertise and equipment. There were networks to bypass the embargo through Tunisia and Egypt, but it was expensive to pay off criminals on both sides of the Mediterranean. A nail or a screw cost five or six times as much in Libya after 1986. The oilfields were getting old, and it was essential to restart exploration if production was not to halt. The period 1992-99 was difficult: economic growth slowed to just 0.8 per cent a year and per capita income dropped by 20 per cent. Discontent also grew, and there were uprisings in eastern Libya (Cyrenaica) and several attempts to overthrow the regime. Gaddafi had no choice but to give in. He handed over to the UK the Libyan
intelligence agents accused of the Lockerbie bombing, and paid generous compensation to the families of the 270 victims (and a little less to the 170 victims of the UTA flight). After 9/11, Libya supported the US "war on terror", and in 2003, a few days after US tanks entered Baghdad, Gaddafi publicly renounced any ambition to develop nuclear weapons. On November 13, 2003 the last international sanctions were lifted, and Libya's oil industry revived. Gaddafi wanted to double production rapidly, to over 3m barrels a day (the same as Iran), and make Libya an influential member of Opec, the cartel that sets oil prices. In August 2004 NOC auctioned 15 exploration licenses, starting an oil rush.In all, 120 companies were interested, including several US and British oil giants that had left Libya in 1986 without being nationalized; 11 of the 15 blocks were given to US companies (Occidental, Amerada Hess, ChevronTexaco). Gaddafi's strategy was again to
favor US companies over European ones such as Total, despite the fact it had supported Libya through the period of sanctions. International oil companies were impatient to get into Libya even though the contracts were harsh: $133m to be paid on signing, and a minimum of $300m to be spent on exploration. In return companies would keep at most 38.9 per cent of production, more likely just 10.8 per cent.So why is there such a lasting, mutual fascination between Libya and oil companies, big and small, given that conditions there are so difficult? Libya's crude is excellent in quality, and its oilfields are close to Europe's refineries, among the biggest in the world. Libyan oil currently represents around 15 per cent of consumption in France, although less than 10 per cent in the European Union. But the main reason is that the balance of power has shifted. In 1960 the British and US oil majors controlled most of the production outside the communist
world. The national companies of producer countries have replaced them. They now own their mineral resources, and control access, even if they still need international companies to prospect for new oilfields.Looking for oil is risky and expensive, so it requires huge capital and technical expertise. National oil companies have neither. Most of the money they earn is spent elsewhere (the Gaddafi family, with six sons and one daughter, takes more than its share) and their sphere of activity remains confined within their borders. So despite expulsions, revolution and nationalisation, the renewal of ties is inevitable, with or without Gaddafi.

In the history of nations the criminals like Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto require
reprehension for crimes against humanity, also its state and
inhabitants. He was a fascist dictator, ruthless feudal and a flatterer,
there is no doubt that he was punished by God and made him admonition
for forthcoming generations. We believe that anyone who conspired or had
a hand in destruction of our nation would be punished, and a few
examples of wrath of God like last part of Indira Gandhi, Sheikh Mujeeb
or anyone is very well evidence of our faith.

Breaking of Pakistan was the major crime of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, and
meaning of "Bhuttoism" clearly defines further breaking, and
looting of remaining Pakistan. He must be dragged out of his mausoleums
(worth one billion built from the pockets of hungry and naked
Pakistani's) and must be re-hanged for his other crimes and murders
for which he had not been punished.

Iftikhar Ahmad anchor of "Jawabdeh" who fabricated a program on
GEO TV:

Who is Iftikhar Ahmad? And what credibility he has in the eyes of courts
to wash true black slur from the face of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto,
unfortunately Bhutto was hanged in only and only one murder, whereas
dozens killed on his orders still needs justice.

Iftikhar Ahmad was shoe bearer and bar tender of Zulfiqar Bhutto, a
communist and liberal fascist, he was sleeper cell of Al-Zulfiqar and
his hands are also soaked in blood of innocent opponents of Bhuttoism.
Since then he is on pay role of anti-Pakistan elements and agencies.
There is no justification to trust his versions presented on GEO TV
being crony of Bhutto, there is a huge crowd of reporters and anchors in
GEO who are on pay role of PPP and ISI simultaneously.

Nobody believes that Bhutto did not commit crimes; the only difference
in opinion is whether he should have hang or deserved lesser punishment.
On the basis of Fabrication of Itikhar Ahmad and his manipulation in
interview with Justice Naseem Hasan Shah, was a pre-planned conspiracy
and within telecast of his program an application was filed by Hanif
Tahir of "Peoples Lawyers Forum", whereas he says that
"Death sentence of Bhutto awarded by Lahore High Courts was wrong
decision, and it was a fit case for "Lesser Punishment". Nobody
ever pleaded that Zulfiqar was innocent.

On the basis of Iftikhar Ahmad's absurd GEO TV program, the bench of
Mr. Justice Sh. Abdul Rashid and Justice Bilal Khan dismissed the
petition on Dec 24, 2004.

Iftikhar Ahmad is not a credible anchor and his partisan reporting and
grouping is very well known, he is an established crony of Bhutto's,
his links with Zardari and views on US war of terror are evidence that
all communists of PPP are today's liberal fascists, simultaneously
on the pay role of ISI and CIA. At this stage we are not disclosing some
personal facts related to his life and reserve right to show public
about his character and his links with Al Zulfiqar, moreover his links
with foreign elements. His program has no credibility to be made
evidence against removal of single decision of High Courts, Supreme
Courts, Appeal and mercy appeal (by Nusrat Bhutto) etc.

If you may read carefully the flow of articles and redirections of TV
anchors, since hanging of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, one thing is very clear
that nobody is denying crime, crime scene, witnesses, proceedings,
rights of defense, FIR, police investigations, trust of Zulfiqar Bhutto
on courts, many months of trial and reporting by media of every word is
on records. Leaving all other media channels, the daily
"Musawat", the argon of Bhutto was reporting daily proceedings
in headlines, and dozens of scholars were writing comments on daily
basis. Unfortunately witnesses were so strong and those were also hanged
by same courts.

Current hue and cry in media:

Even though current articles in papers and guests on TV channels are
mostly paid by Zardari mafia to propagate and try to made court's
decision against Bhutto as a controversial event. Majority of peoples
suddenly started to appear on TV channels are mostly cronies of PPP, and
those were awarded high posts in Benazir's two terms as bribes
because Benazir had question of turning court's decision in her mind
and many induced persons on current TV channels have already received
their price.

It is laughing that one prostitute was bribed and an affidavit was filed
on her behalf that Justice Mushtaq told her that he is determined to
hang Bhutto. Half of the current ministers were either in Gen. Zia's
cabinet or part of PML, such as Yousuf Raza Gilani, Babar Awan, Mir
Hazar Khan Bijrani, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Hina Rabbani Khar and MQM were
part of Gen. Zia's Government, majority of members of PML Q in
Baluchistan were also part of his cabinet as well that are partners of
today's Zardari mafia.

By spirit 90% Pakistani's hate Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto:

During the period of Bhutto's Government everyone in opposition was
victimized and feudal mentality fascist decisions were taken, even many
in PPP were victimized, humiliated or removed from the scene.

In some well documented cases, Ch. Zahoor Elahi the father of Ch.
Shujaat of PML Q was murdered and evidence of involvement of PPP were
crystal clear, because Justice Mushtaq Husain was also travelling in the
same car along with Court's lawyer who was also murdered along with
Ch. Zahoor Elahi on Sept 25, 1981.

Awami National Party was attacked by FSF and goons of PPP at Liaqat Bagh
Rawalpindi, where dozens were murdered. Later a case against ANP was
represented in Courts and ANP and its leaders were banned. Current form
of ANP is a new shape of defunct NAP of Wali Khan Group.

He used air force against Balouch citizens and hundreds were killed.

Father of Mr. Saad Rafiq member parliament of PML N was also killed by
FSF.

Ittefaq Foundries was nationalized and family of Mian Nawaz Shariff was
pushed to join Gen. Zia's Government, later Benazir and Rahman Malik
also humiliated his father Mian Shariff by arresting him due to ego
problem.

Dr. Nazir of Jamat e Islami, DG Khan was killed on orders of Bhutto by
police and FSF. Abdul Samad Achakzai was also murdered on his orders as
well.

There were killings of hundreds of those ordinary peoples, who were
opposed to PPP's fascist behaviors, if you may go through date wise
accounts of daily Jang and Nawai e Waqt, a comprehensive list of
reported killings by media are evidence of fascist and criminal
mentality of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and his associates.

Murders of famous politicians like Ch. Iqbal, Ch. Zahoor Elahi, Abdul
Samad Achakzai, Dr. Nazir and Khawaja Rafiq are enough to re-hang
Bhutto.

Thousands were arrested during "Bangla Desh Na Manzoor" campaign
and later during 1977 movement against Bhutto's fake elections
thousands were arrested. Snatching beards of peoples was routine of
Jiala's and bullying on Islamic traditions was their usual practice.

Dillai camp and Shahi Qila torture cells and hundreds of other venues
are on records to prove that wrath of God was eminent against cruelties
of Bhutto Government.

Bhutto's fascism within his own Peoples Party:

18 murderous attacks on Ahmad Raza Qasoori, attacks on his brother
Khizer Hayat and finally killing of his father Nawab Muhammad Ahmad Khan
ultimately made Bhutto admonition for next generations.

Bhutto was a clone, joker and murderous killer, snakes were left in the
public meeting of Ghulam Mustafa Khar, moreover Haneef Ramay and J A
Rahim were humiliated badly that were pillars of PPP. Every leader of
PPP who left party gained better status later. Ghulam Mustafa Khar,
Ghulam Mustafa Jatoi, Kausar Niazi, Meraj Khalid and dozens others who
broke the shackles of feudal lords and say good bye to slavery of
PPP's feudal minded leaders were later honored better than PPP.
Mahmood Haroon was Minister in Zia era and his wife was member of Majlis
e Shoora. As Prime Minister Meraj Khalid and as President Farooq Leghari
were leading in fixing crimes and kicking out Benazir and Zardari, both
were top leaders of PPP.

Killer genes and inheritance of criminal blood of Bhutto:

Benazir and Zardari brutally murdered Mir Murtaza Bhutto along with
other companions at Karachi and a case was filed in courts against both.

The night before when Shahnawaz Bhutto was died in France, it is on
records that both brothers fought bitterly when both were intoxicated
state. Both married to sister daughters of a communist and KGB agent.
Whether one brother eliminated other? For share of inheritance through
wife was later kept strictly hidden and for political gains Gen. Zia was
blamed. Read carefully papers of that period.

Benazir and Zardari are so cheap that in spite of billions corruption
and overseas properties, a lone petrol pump owned by widow of Murtaza
Bhutto was grabbed many times. Attacks on the widow of her brother and
true heirs of Bhutto legacy are under threat and life of son of Murtaza
Bhutto is in great danger because he is the only living survivor of true
Zulfiqar Bhutto clan. Benazir was involved in petit assaults through
police and goons to humiliate children of his brother.

Bhutto's Fascism against media:

Jang Group was major target of Bhutto and he by name threatened Mir
Khalil ur Rahman for consequences, today Jang, News and GEO are major
propaganda source to defame judiciary and turn fascist Bhutto as hero is
very surprising. Media persons who opposed Bhutto were target and
cancellation of their declarations was daily practice. Current situation
against media and threats by Zardari is action replay of Bhuttoism mean
Goonism. I have a complete list of crimes of Bhutto against media and
that requires separate columns. As a ready reference Takbeer, Zindagi,
Urdu Digest and imprisonments of Mujeeb ur Rahman Shami, Zia Shahid and
Altaf Husain Qureshi are well known to public.

Peoples Party always rule with the help of Pakistan army:

Bhutto entered in politics via Iranian Naheed Sikandar Mirza, and she
sent him to UNO as a head of a delegation, he was right hand of Sikandar
Mirza in all anti-Pakistan and unconstitutional affairs, later he
remained part of Gen. Ayub Khan and he was also minister of basic
democracy system and front man in opposing Ms. Fatima Jinnah.

History is witness that Muhammad Ali Bogra and Sikandar Mirza were both
descendents of Ghaddar e Millat Mir Jaffer. Bhutto being admirer of both
broke Pakistan, and peoples named him as second Ghaddar e Millat of sub
continents history, he will always be remembered for breaking Pakistan
for grabbing power. His friendship with Gen. Yahya Khan has no question
mark because Yahya was also Iranian Qizlibash and he passed rest of his
life under Bhutto's rule by enjoying women and wines at Rawalpindi.

Bhutto was chief person who instigated Army to kill Bengali's, so
hundred thousands were murdered. Army was used against Balouch citizens;
he was civil martial law administrator and after 1977 election he
imposed martial law in many big cities as well. Democracy and PPP is a
joke.

After passing of 1973 constitution, the true spirit and sanctity of
constitution was ruined and within short period of time seven amendments
were made, whereas notorious 7th amendment made him dictator, after long
Gen. Zia passed 8th amendment.

Today brutal murder of Pakhtoon in FATA and frontiers areas, killings of
Balouch peoples, target killings at Karachi, suicide attacks, killings
in drone attacks, missing persons, bomb blasts and greed of more power
by means of licking feet of Pakistan army is the same action replay of
Bhutto's fascism that Zardari is replaying, where Gen. Kiyani is
second Tikka Khan.

According to careful statistics current war of terror has killed above
100,000 Pakistanis, where as above 30, 000 Pakistanis are in the illegal
custody of army, above 1.5 million Pakistani's who were forced to
leave their homes have been ruined. Gradually Zardari-Kiyani syndicate
would break the records of Bhutto-Tikka Khan-Gen Yahya Khan syndicate.
Turn the history pages backward and note that entire PPP's tenure
was composed of everyday bomb blasts, use of army against civilians,
complaints of conspiracy against Peoples Party, power in the hands of
feudal and army persons. Honorable departure of Musharraf is a replay of
providing sanctuary to Gen. Yahya Khan.

Benazir inherited blood and fascist genes of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and she
was Graduate of "Fraud University of Zardari", as a tradition of
Bhutto, she used army, FIA against civilians and current FIA is ditto
copy of FSF of Bhutto era. History never witnessed shame less ruler like
Benazir who was kicked out of power two times and for third time she
negotiated safety of corruption money with ISI chief, lick lacking of
Musharraf and signed NRO to save looted wealth, soon before death her
connections with MI were exposed. The clandestine of her cell phone for
three years by Zardari bears the secrets of her calls to DG MI and ISI,
surely after deleting those calls now telephone has been handed over to
police.

NRO VS Bhutto hanging case:

Zardari is trying to use same tactics that Bhutto had been using to play
delaying tactics in his case but in vain. Judiciary is trying to delay
NRO cases and a few evictions by courts is a result of pressure from
Government. Most shameful decision of Supreme Courts to reject appeal of
11 persons kidnapped by ISI and turning High Court's decision in
eviction of those accused is bad precedent, whether is it not funny that
no defense lawyer was ever allowed to represent their point of view in
front of army courts. After retirement if any justice of Supreme Court
would declare that we were under pressure of army than Zardri-Kiyani
syndicate have any justification to hang accused persons.

It is on record that Justice Naseem Hasan Shah was insulted and fake
plot cases were floated against him to avenge his decision, continuous
use of word "Judicia Murder" is a conspiracy, nobody ever denied
that Bhutto was not involved in the murders, hue and cry is based on
decision that why he was not given lesser punishment. Iftikhar Ahmad
tactfully manipulated the venue when Justice Naseem Hasan Shah was under
victimization.

Skelton of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is liable of re-hanging in many crimes;
most justified case of re-hanging is his role in breaking Pakistan.

Dear sir

In  the Punjab, District Management Group (DMG) is out to eliminate the Provincial Management Service. Despite constitutional safeguards of provincial rights and of provincial services, DMG has  completely marginalized the  PCS, PSS and PMS in the province.  It  did what the camel did to the Arab. It has ejected the provincial services from all the worth-mentioning posts of the province. A service, whose presence in the province was supposed to be token one and for the sake of strengthening of federation, has completely captued the province and bred a deep sense of exploitation amogthe provincial officers.
When the  provincial officers protested against this exploitation, 77 senior officers were incarcerated and locked up along with ordinary criminals. Such a blatant misuse of official power against the opponents is unparalleled in the history.

Now the DMG is out to remove from scene all those officers who raised voice against exploitation of provincial services. The Chief Secretary, being arch enemy of the provincial officers, hod no moral right to proceed against  the officers whom he say his adversaries. It is height of moral bankruptsy on the part of DMG that Chief Secretary is acting as Complainant, Prosecutor, Judge, Jury and the Executioner and is determined to  remaove from service his adversaries. Almost  of them are those who have very clean and enviable service record.

Every law knowing  and law abiding citizen will condemn such  partisan prosecution of provincial officers

Sacked FIA director spills the beans in SC affidavit

Islamabad:

An FIA Director, Mirza Sultan Saleem, who was sent packing, has disclosed in a sworn affidavit that outgoing DG FIA Waseem Ahmad and a federal minister reprimanded him for writing to UK authorities on freezing Moonis Elahi's foreign bank accounts.

Mirza Saleem has also sought action against all those high-ups creating hurdles in the NICL's investigation. Mirza was removed from the position of additional director Interpol and repatriated to NAB after, what he said, exchanged information with UK on Moonis Elahi's bank accounts, then ordered their freeze, also writing for more details as directed by NICL inquiry officer, Zafar Ahmad Qureshi.

This affidavit has established thick involvement of DG Waseem to save the skins of the scions of the high and mighty in clear defiance of the Supreme Court directives not to interfere. A statement recorded for producing before the Supreme Court, copy available with The News, has also spilled beans on how ex-DG FIA withheld the letters of inquiry officer, Zafar Ahmad Qureshi, that were to be dispatched to the UK authorities requesting more account details.

"How dare you exchange information with SOCA (Serious Organized Crime Agency of UK) without my permission," outgoing DG who summoned Mirza to Balochistan House on March 2, said blasting Mirza. "He was very furious.

He was not ready to hear me." Mirza wrote in his affidavit. "DG further said that Interior Minister Rehman Malik has reprimanded me due to this act of yours." "Rehman Malik woke me up at 2.30 am, expressed his serious displeasure and said, it is my insult that information is being exchanged about former Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi," Mirza stated quoting DG Waseem's conversation.

"He asked me to leave the file (about Moonis Elahi's UK account) and get lost." Also, I was removed from the position of additional director National Central Bureau (that deals with Interpol).

Inam Ghani, an FIA director, has also shown his true colours if Mirza's statement is to be believed. Otherwise considered an honest officer, Inam has been found siding with DG Waseem in the dressing down of Mirza.

"Inam would nod in agreement on each and every word of DG who was blasting me. He (Inam) further said that I (Mirza) don't discuss official matters with me." Inam was then director administration of FIA who, on the directives of Waseem, removed Mirza from his position and now has been rewarded with a prized post of FIA director, Lahore.

Not only Mirza earned the ire on exchanging information on Moonis, he was also ordered not to dispatch onward anything requested by Zafar Qureshi from UK authorities unless granted permission by DG Waseem. The information about the account forms of Moonis Elahi required from UK bank could not be obtained as the letters sent by Zafar Qureshi were blocked by DG, said the affidavit.

"These letters were deliberately stopped, according to my information, so that the investigation process could be slowed down to the maximum level."

As for as Moonis Elahi's bank accounts are concerned, the FIA investigators gathered through the UK's SOCA that Moonis Elahi had an account in EFG Private Bank, UK, where he had 1,138,792.53 British pounds (Rs158 million). A business concern presumably owned by Moonis in British Virgin Islands operates this account.

This amount is in contrast to Rs320 million allegedly transferred through fake accounts to Moonis Elahi by Mohsin Habib Warraich, a key accused in NICL scam who fled to the UK. The SOCA has voluntarily shared the bank account information with the FIA's National Central Bureau that had passed these details onward to the NICL inquiry team, according to Mirza's statement.

As the request for freezing accounts was extended, Mirza went on, it was not done by SOCA that instead instructed FIA how they can exchange information that is possible when there is evidence of criminal activity etc.

As the criminal record details were sent by NICL inquiry team to NBC for dispatching to SOCA, the letter was withheld by DG FIA and kept it with him for more than twenty days, said the affidavit.

Mirza's statement has recommended disciplinary action against all those officers and authorities who created hurdles in the investigation, showed partisanship for vested gains and used media through feeding wrong information.

Please Note That More Information Will be Released Shortly Which Include:

1.      Closing Multi Billion Inquiries in KPK Province

2.      Details of his Student-Life in Peshawar.

3.      His Removal in Lachi Scam as SSP Peshawar.

Dear Friends:

The Associated Press is the oldest and largest wire service in the world and is the primary source of international news for newspapers all over the country.

As we expect you're acutely aware, its reports are consistently Israeli-centric. Therefore, we are providing an analysis of today's report on Gaza , telling what actually occurred over the past week, what AP chose to report, and what it chose not to report.

This kind of highly distorted reporting misleads Americans on Israel-Palestine, resulting in the disastrous Middle East policies we see today. We feel that exposing this situation and educating the general public -- as well as editors here in America -- on the actual situation in the region will help to bring the change so urgently needed.

Thank you for helping us do this work.

Sincerely,

Alison Weir, President

Council for the National Interest

JERUSALEM (AP) Israeli aircraft and ground forces struck Gaza on Friday, killing two Hamas gunmen and three civilians

No mention in either the headline or the lead paragraph that Israeli forces killed a total of 14 people in the past 24 hours, including a mother, her daughter (injured another of her children), and an elderly man, and that they injured dozens of others.

in a surge of fighting sparked by a Palestinian rocket attack on an Israeli school bus the day before.

No mention that this rocket attack was sparked by Israeli forces killing five Gazans in the preceding few days.

Just over two years after rocket fire from Gaza triggered

Israel had already broken the cease fire three times, killing seven Palestinian, which is what triggered the rocket fire.

a devastating Israeli military offensive in the territory,

which killed approximately 1400 Palestinians, at least 773 of them civilians – hundreds of them children.

Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers seemed on the brink of another round of intense violence.

AP still chooses not to mention the five Palestinians in Gaza that Israeli forces had killed in preceding days.

In Thursday's attack, Gaza militants hit an Israeli school bus near the border with a guided anti-tank missile, injuring the driver and badly wounding a 16-year-old boy. Most of the schoolchildren on the bus got off shortly before the attack.

By Friday morning, Israel's ongoing retaliation

AP calls the Israeli action retaliation (for two injured, one with minor injuries) but fails to note that the rocket attack was retaliation (for the killing of five people).

had killed 10 Gazans – five militants, a policeman and four civilians – and wounded 45. The dead Friday included three civilians killed by Israeli tank fire and two militants killed in an air strike, both near the southern Gaza town of Khan Younis.

Still no mention of the mother and children.

Hamas, which had largely held its fire since Israel's last major offensive, claimed responsibility for the bus attack.

Had the bus been full, broader Israeli retaliation would have been all but inevitable and the region – already destabilized by the popular revolts sweeping the Arab world – could have been drawn into another war.

It's odd to put such speculation in a news article, especially when AP left out so many newsworthy facts.

It is unclear if Hamas was trying to provoke a new conflagration, if it was not fully in control of all of its fighters, or if it believes Israel would pull back before invading Gaza again.

Again, it's odd to put such speculation and commentary in a news article, especially when AP left out so many newsworthy facts.

Israel was condemned internationally after the last incursion.

"Incursion" is an odd word for the massive invasion by Israeli forces that was condemned in detailed reports issued by numerous highly respected international organizations.

Hamas said the rocket attack was in retaliation for the killing of three fighters in an airstrike earlier in the week. At around midnight Thursday, with Gaza rocked by explosions, the organization announced a cease-fire.

This was actually announced earlier and included all sectors of the Gazan resistance. The announcements about this also spoke of the 21-year-old killed on Tuesday , whom AP never mentions in the report.

But the Israeli strikes continued, hitting Hamas facilities and smuggling tunnels.

And many other facilities. AP also fails to mention that the tunnels are a response to Israel's suffocating siege of Gaza, noted by groups such as Christian Aid.

Electricity lines and transformers were damaged, causing power blackouts in some parts of the territory, according to Jamal Dardsawi, a spokesman for Gaza's Electric Distribution Company.

While AP speculated about what would have happened if the nearly empty Israeli bus had been full, there is no mention here about what electricity blackouts are actually doing to Gazan patients on respirators, in hospital operating rooms, etc.

In Israel, studies at some schools near Gaza were canceled Friday because of concerns for the students' safety.

No mention of schools in Gaza, whose students have been injured, one killed, and parents killed and injured.

Palestinian militants launched nine mortars and rockets into Israel, causing damage to at least one building, the military said. Israeli casualties have been kept low thanks to reinforced rooms and early warning systems.

and the fact that the Israeli military, thanks to Americans' $8 million per day to Israel, is the fourth or fifth most powerful military in the world.

Matan Vilnai, the Israeli Cabinet minister in charge of the home front, told Army Radio that Israel was acting to deter attacks. "We are acting as we see fit so that this type of fire will not continue, and so that the people behind the fire will regret it," Vilnai said.

Israel's education minister, Gideon Saar, said in a briefing with reporters that any civilian casualties in Gaza were unintentional and that Israel did not target "anyone except the terrorists."

AP fails to report that numerous international investigations have found evidence indicating that Israel has often targeted civilians.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned the bus attack and expressed concern over civilian casualties in Israel's strikes. He called for "de-escalation and calm to prevent any further bloodshed."

Thousands of rockets from Gaza have hit Israeli towns and cities since 2001.

AP fails to mention that these have killed a total of approximately 20 Israelis. AP also fails to mention that during the same period Israeli forces have killed thousands of Gazans, including numerous children.

Israel's attempts to stop the rockets have included military incursions and covert operations abroad aimed at disrupting Hamas' efforts to procure arms.

AP again gives the Israeli narrative. It fails to report that Israeli military incursions and covert operations preceded Gazan rockets.

In February, a Palestinian engineer was seized from a sleeper train in Ukraine and showed up several days later in Israel,

The normal way to report this would be to state that Israel kidnapped a Palestinian engineer in the Ukraine.

where he has been charged with masterminding Hamas' rocket program.

Once again, AP emphasizes Israeli claims without including countering claims.

Last year a Hamas operative was assassinated in Dubai, and Israeli agents are widely assumed to have been responsible. Israel identified the man as a Hamas agent responsible for obtaining weaponry from Iran.

Again, we get the Israeli narrative, and only the Israeli narrative.

This week, Sudan accused Israel of being behind an explosion that killed two in Port Sudan. The blast was thought to be linked to arms smuggling to Gaza. Israel would not comment.

AP doesn't bother supplying any information about the two human beings in Port Sudan who were just killed
