Pakistan Medical Association, Karachi Congratulates Dr. Usman Mako and all doctors of Sindh for winning the court case at Sukkur High Court.
We also thank the court as this was a long awaited decision. Doctors in Sindh had been waiting for promotions for last 20 years. These doctors belong to general and special cadre.
We also demand that Government of Sindh should hasten its process for implementation of 4tier formula, the summary of which was approved by our Chief Minister of Sindh. There are more than 500 jobs in health department occupied by those doctors who are working aboard for last 10-15 years, and on the face of it more than 600 jobs are further vacant where no appointments have yet been made due to ban imposed by the Government for reasons best known to it.
We demand that Chief Minister and Health Minister should take action as early as possible, before doctor come on the roads.
