BOTH ARE BUSY DAY AND NIGHT IN AMASSING MONEY.
NEW EXPENSIVE DRUGS ARE INVENTED TO ENHANCE THE CORPORATIONS PROFITABILITY AND NEW PROCEDURES ARE INVENTED IN MEDICAL FIELD TO INCREASE DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT COSTS.TODAY SUCH COSTS STAND BEYOND THE REACH OF COMMON MAN.
NO SERIOUS EFFORT IS BEING MADE TO ERADICATE THE ROOT CAUSES OF AILMENTS AND POOR HEALTH, INFANT MORTALITY ETC.
ONE SUCH EXAMPLE IS TOBACCO AND CIGARETTE INDUSTRY, KILLING OVER 6 MILLIONS ANNAULLY ,THE NUMBER OF SICK WOULD BE FAR GREATER, WHO CARES IF THAT KEEPS THE WHEELS OF INDUSTRY RUNNING THRU A CHAIN PROCESS OF LETTING PEOPLE FALL SICK AND THEN TREATING THEM THUS THAT BRINGS MONEY TWO FOLD TO THE EXPLOITERS OF MANKIND, ONE THRU CONSUMPTION AND THE OTHER THRU TREATMENTS AND THE SO CALLED HEALTH MANAGEMENT.
IF PEOPLE KEEP SUFFERING / DYING SO WHAT , THE HOSPITAL BEDS ARE MORE AND MORE OCCUPIED AND THE MEDICAL PROFESSION IS GETTING MORE AND MORE LUCRATIVE AND THE MEDICINE INDUSTRY KEEPS FLOURISHING.
THE HEALTH PROFESSION PEACEFULLY WATCH MILLIONS OF HELPLESS PEOPLE DYING FROM DISEASES WHICH ARE PREVENTABLE THAT INCLUDE INNOCENT INFANTS AND CHILDREN.
Over A billion men, women and children do not have safe water to drink and therefore cannot live in a healthy life.
Who are these people ? They are the innocent children and desperate families living in over crowded areas in cities, towns and villages of developing countries. These precious people do not have access to clean water to protect themselves and their children from diseases.
EACH DAY almost 50,000 men, women and children die from diseases directly related to drinking polluted Water even if there is enough food to eat, families may still be slowly dying from another form of hunger called "invisible hunger" and it comes from drinking unsafe water.
Water-borne parasites, received from drinking contaminated water, multiply continuously in weakened bodies,robbing their hosts of the nourishment and energy they need to grow and develop normally.
80% of fatal childhood diseases that kill children and destroy families worldwide are caused by drinking contaminated water.
LET US NOT TELL THE WORLD THAT WE ARE HEARTLESS , LETHARGIC AND UTTERLY INCOMPETENT , I WISH SOONER OR LATER , THE SOONER THE BETTER ALL BE HANGED PUBLICLY FOR MURDERING WORLD'S MILLIONS FROM TOBACCO , FROM DISEASES WHICH ARE PREVENTABLE , FROM POOR / UNHEALTHY ENVIRONMENT, FROM DUMPING OF DANGEROUS TOXIC WASTES , FROM CONTAMINATED WATER ,FROM ILLEGAL AND IMMORAL WARS, FROM CORRUPT FOOD AND RESOURCES MANAGEMENT, FROM EXCESSIVE TAXATION,FROM DUBIOUS BIRTH CONTROL SCHEMES...........FLEECING THE WORLD'S TOILERS THRU FREE MARKET ECONOMY....................THE LIST OF OUR CRIMES IS LONG AND UN-ENDING.
GOVERNMENTS AND ORGANIZATIONS ARE TALKING A LOT BUT DOING LITTLE.BOTH GET THE RICH REWARDS THOUGH BEING WORTH A PENNY IN TERMS OF DELIVERY OF PROMISED REMEDIES.BOTH HAVE A POOR VISION OF WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO.
BETTER AND GOOD FOR THEM IF THEY GET DOWN TO THE REAL WORK OF COMMON WELFARE GENUINELY AND EXPEDITIOUSLY , REGULATING THEIR THOUGHTS IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION AND TAKING DUE ACTIONS LEST THE MASSES WILL STAND AND DESTROY THE VICIOUS KINGDOM OF SELF SEEKERS.
THE FRUITS OF HARD LABOUR BY BILLIONS OF WORLD'S TOILERS ARE TAKEN-AWAY BY THESE REGIMES IN THE NAME OF TAXES FOR WELFARE AND DEVELOPMENT BY THE VICIOUS GANG OF RULERS AND THEIR CORRUPT BUREAUCRATS ALL OVER THE WORLD.IT IS THEN FLUIDLY SPENT ON PERKS OF THE EXECUTIVES , THEIR FRUITLESS TRAVELING , CORRUPT PROJECTS SPENDING AND ADVENTUROUS WAR GAMES.
ALAS ALL WHAT THEY HAVE BEEN AMASSING WILL NOT FOLLOW THEM IN THEIR GRAVES AS THE ULTIMATE EQUALITY IN CONSUMPTION IS ORDAINED BY ALLAH HIMSELF.WE CAN EAT AND DIGEST ONLY AS MUCH AS OUR BODY NEEDS, WEAR ONLY ONE DRESS, A PAIROF SHOES,RIDE ONE VEHICLE AT A TIME AND OUR SLEEPING SPACE IS 6 BY 2 FT NO MATTER HOW MUCH WEALTH AND CONTROL WE ARE ABLE TO POSSESS.
NOTHING FOLLOWS US IN THE NEXT WORLD EXCEPT OUR WELL INTENTIONED DEEDS.WE LOOSE OUR CONTROL ON OUR POSSESSIONS AND YET WE WILL HAVE TO ACCOUNT FOR EVERY PENNY AS TO HOW WE ACQUIRED IT AND HOW WE SPENT IT TO THE CORE OF OUR INTENTIONS.
THAT IS THE LIFE TO COME TO STAY FOR TRILLIONS OF YEARS AND OUR TIME OF DEPARTURE FROM THIS WORLD IS ALSO NOT IN OUR HAND, CONSIDERING OUR CURRENT AGES,OUR ONE FOOT IS ALREADY IN OUR GRAVES.
WHAT WE DO NOT HAVE IN TODAY'S WORLD TO MAKE OUR LIVES HEAVENLY WITH SO MUCH SURPLUS IN RESOURCES, PRODUCTION CAPACITY,TECHNICAL ADVANCEMENT, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND A LOT MORE CONVENIENCES FOR DEVELOPMENT AND ADVANCEMENT.
BUT THE WORLD HAS BECOME HOSTAGE IN THE HANDS OF THE FEW UNSCRUPULOUS AND THEIR COLLABORATORS IN VESTED INTERESTS.
AT THE END OF THE DAY EVERY ONE MUST SERVE TO MEET ENDS OF THOSE UNSCRUPULOUS.THOSE WHO HAPPEN TO BE THE WORLD'S EXECUTIVE WITH VESTED FINANCIAL INTERESTS AND THE SO CALLED RICHEST IN LEAGUE WITH THEM.
WE THUS NEED A CHANGE NOT ONLY IN PAKISTAN BUT THE WORLD OVER, BEGINNING WITH THE REPLACEMENT OF THE WORLD'S CURRENT LEADERSHIP THRU POPULAR YET PEACEFUL UPRISING OF THE SILENT MASSES.

PEW demands immediate patients awareness programmes

The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday called upon government and civil society to launch awareness programmes for patients.
A good number of doctors are losing professionalism to other priorities which is jeopardising health of unsuspecting patients who needs to be educated, it said.
Increasing financial ties between doctors and pharmaceutical companies means those require medical care are paying for the commercial bribes without knowing it, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
A PEW survey revealed that many doctors are overmedicating patients for profits that has become important, safety is not. Living longer and healthier lives with help of proper medicine has become difficult.
Doctors interviewed during the survey accepted that preventing abuse and educating patients is their responsibility. However, they were found reluctant to disclose their monetary arrangements with the pharmaceuticals, he said.
It is an open secret that doctors prescribe costly and substandard medicines to get commission. However, not a single healthcare official or pharmacist was found willing to report those engaged in violations, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal.
The survey found that hundreds of sub standard companies are pumping their medicines into market. Even owners of medical storeowners have established companies producing drugs with possible fatal consequences.
They offer huge margins for the distributors and sale through medical practitioners which amounts to prescribing poison in the name of life saving drugs, he said.
WHO says that no pharmaceutical can function without a separate research and analysis wing but in Pakistan unskilled workers are producing medicines with the blessing of those who are entrusted to stop it, it was observed.
Some businesspersons are importing medicines labelled as food items and selling them through doctors with the connivance of regulators.
Organised crime against humanity should be stopped in medical profession, healthcare institutions, private clinics, and pharma companies, PEW demanded.
Some greedy doctors may be causing serious health problems, unintentional disabilities and deaths that merits probe.
The government, concerned ministry, administration of hospitals, NGOs and patients must share the responsibility, said Dr. Mughal.
