While waiting for the dooms day, Karachiites since 1980s are making sure that there is no peace in the city.
Meantime, let's keep our fingers crossed and pray for the Almighty's continued mercies.
KANUPP s now over 35 years old and is on its 2nd life. Should it be closed down? I think not, however, additional safety measure should be incorporated based on the recent experience in Japan

Dear All,
Not if, but when? It is a matter of time. Projections are compression is building along the fault lines. Primarily initiated due to the under water activities.
Best Regards

Our KANUPP is sitting right next to Karachi. We have already experienced earth-quakes (though of minor intensity) in the recent past with epi-centre close to Karachi. God forbid if something goes wrong the way it has happened in Japan, not only lives of 15 million Karaciites will be exposed to a grave tragedy, but also we shall lose Karachi port and industries for ever because of nuclear pollution/radioactivity.
This cheap nuclear power may prove to be very very expensive to us. Perhaps it is time we should start thinking of developing some safe alternative and closing KANUPP down in due course of time.
