PTDC COMMITTED TO PROMOTE TOURISM
Rawalpindi, 05 April 2011.
Mir Shahjahan Khetran, Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation chaired a meeting held at PTDC Head Office. Mr. Saeed Abbas Ansari, General Manager (F&A), Mr. Iftikhar Hussain Satti General Manager Flashman's Hotel, Mr. Abdul Wahab Khan General Manager PD&P, Mr. Haibat Ali General Manager Motels briefed the Managing Director about the steps being taken by PTDC for promotion of tourism and overall performance of PTDC and its subsidiaries. The Managing Director directed PTDC to prepare strategies for income generation from its commercial units. The Officers briefed the Managing Director about the financial difficulties being faced by PTDC due to the last year's flood and law and order situation in the country.
The Managing Director stressed upon the need for collective efforts to promote tourism and devise strategies to address the problems being faced by the tourism sector within the existing socio-political environment. He sought their commitment and support in improving the PTDC, while meeting these objectives.
