Dear partners and colleagues.
I am pleased to inform you that FAO has published the report "Foundations for Future Action: an Initial Review of Selected Projects", which highlights some early EUFF (European Union Food Facility) project achievements, together with lessons learned and suggestions for the way forward. The report is also uploaded in the FAO/EU website and can be accessed via the following link:
The EUFF EU Food Facility is a two-year programme which seeks to help developing countries move towards long-term food security. It was launched in 2009 and over €228 million (US$315 million) has been channelled through FAO, allowing the organisation to field operations in twenty-eight countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America, touching the lives of more than 9 million people in rural areas.
The report documents initial outcomes of selected FAO/EUFF projects in 13 of the 28 countries and is the first step of a more comprehensive process of analysis and communication of concrete results and lessons learned from the implementation of the FAO/EUFF Programme.
Best regards.
c.
