Our Company is in urgent need of Sr. Media Planner and Media Planner.
Mentioned below are the details of position requirements and responsibilities:
Position 1: Sr. Media Planner
The applicant must be Independent in handling of related issues on his brand/s. Planning and first level of analysis/conversion of data to information plus showcase the core planning function.
Primary Responsibility
• Developing Media Plans i.e. the actual churning of plans
• Competitive monitoring of media strategies
• Initiation of building client relationship
• The actual training of team below on application of softwares
• Key motivator to intra-agency interaction i.e. with creative and servicing
• Responsible in the food chain to deliver, thus need to delegate and control
Knowledge Requirements
•In the media business for at least 4-6 years
•A management graduate/ statistical math's/ economics background
•Conceptual awareness of planning / planning tools /research
•Working knowledge of both aspects of buying and operations
•Industry awareness- general & in the business of communication
Essential Skills
• Presentation / Documentation Skills
• People / Team Building Skills
• Nurturing Skills
• Communication Skills
• Multi task- planning, buying and brain storming
Position Dimensions
• Person would be responsible for the churning of media plans, for strategy to be developed/evaluated
• Manages a team of 2-3. At least 2-4 clients
• Partners the servicing team
Position 2: Media Planner
The applicant must independently develop error free media plans.
Primary Responsibility
• Developing media plans
• Basic level competitive tracking. — SOV analysis, market prioritization, target group understanding
• Objective setting for Media
• Aiding his boss (GH) in interfacing with. X client
Knowledge Requirements
• In the media business for minimum of 2 years
• A management graduate/ statistical math's/ economics background
• Aware of media planning concepts, planning tools / packages / software
• Understanding of all media vehicles and their systems i.e. TV ratings, print readership, circulation, monitoring, sample sizes etc.

• Presentation! Documentation Skills
• Eye for detail
• Speed of delivery
• Communication Skills
Position Dimensions
• Critically dependent on quality of performance
• Routine work — base level
• Physical time pressures — little or no mental stress
