WORDS SHALL BE COUNTERED WITH WORDS NOT WITH BULLET
Dear Friends,
Yesterday Mr. Zulfiqar Mirza answering to the press gave condemnable remarks against Mr. Altaf Hussain and his other party office bearers. No opinion other than that while criticizing any leader and party one must not use unethical words and the immoral attitude. It is an extremely alarming and may widen the gape between Urdu-Speaking Sindhis and Sindhi-speaking Sindhis. I am embarrassed that he has uttered such intolerable sentences for those who have been embraced by my ancestors some 63 year back. Until and unless it was Mohajir Qomi Moment it was not accepted in the interior of Sindh because because people of Sindh were seen asking that those who have been living with us since 1947 why they say themselves mohajirs. literally the word is derived from Hijrat and all those who does hijrat are temporarily called Mohajirs if they have to proceed to their another and final destination. They also were seen asking whether they have to migrate further? If not then why they demand for separate province? why they get DEMAND FOR MOHAJIR PROVINCE written on the walls of the streets of Karachi? They also were seen raising the point why they the Sindhis are compelled to blame their ancestors for this blunder of embracing Urdu-speaking brethren? But when Mr. Altaf Huisain admitted and announced himself as Sindhi and Motahida Qomi Moment was renamed and reshaped they were embraced again. Therefore, they who are our asset given us by our elders are our brethren and are vital part of our body and heart shouldn't have been demoralized by this type of the outburst.
I personally beg apology on his statement and request PPP-P leadership to take disciplinary action against him on violating the lines of reconciliation drawn by Bibi Shaheed. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari is suggested that his PPPP membership may be suspended for 3 months. Better if they compell him to come on media and say sorry to Mr. Altaf Hussain, their beloved leader. At the same time I request M.Q.M leadership to pacify their worker and request them not to respond his statement in such violent way. Statement should have been countered with statement, words with words and attitudes with similar attitude. Reaction is natural but with Bullet, by setting private and public vehicles and assets blazed, can't be justified at all. Some hard liners are available in both the parties. They issue harsh statements. If we remember similar type of statements are issued by several workers of M.Q.M. against PPPP leadership. Mr. Mustafa Kamal's is an example who while addressing to a gathering had lamented PPP-P and their leadership. No PPPP workers showed violent reaction when Mr. Altaf Hussain advised an democratically elected president to resign, when he was shouldered with plunder and when they deceived him by not cooperating in legislation of N.R.O to bring an end of concocted and politically motivated cases. PPPP workers did not rather reconciliation continued. So they the leadership of both parties PPP-P and M.Q.M especially Mr. Altaf Hussain should play role in eradicating such violent attitudes from their cadres. Otherwise they themselves may have consolidating Mr. Mirza's point of view that M.Q.M has a large number of trained terrorist, target killers, ammunition in bulk and may be involved in creating unrest in Karachi. Same had happened when Mr. Imran Farooq was murdered at London and same had happened on 12th May when Mr. Iftikhar Chodhry was restricted with bullet at Jinnah International Airport.
Electronic media also should play role in normalizing the situation of the city and should refrain from repeatedly on-airing that provoking sentences. Otherwise one may not be wrong if some of the causalities may be shifted on their shoulders.
