Spirit of Swat Festival is being organized by Army at Swat. Sports event of Marathon is also being organized on 16 Jul 2011 in the said festival in collaboration with Athletics Federation of Pakistan and Army Sports Directorate.
Runners from all 14x affiliated units of Athletics Federation are participating. The present Marathon at Swat will be org on 16 Jul 2011 by the Army at Swat in which Army and civil of the area will participate collectively. It will provide an opportunity to the people of Swat to show their talent at National level. All the expenditure will be borne by the Army / Army Sports Directorate. General Officer Commanding will be the Chief Guest at opening ceremony in presence with Director Army Sports Brigadier Iqtidar Naseer Ahmed and the local Brigade Commanders. The Corps Commander 11 Corps would be the Chief Guest at closing ceremony. This will boost the morale of locals and will improve the harmony between civil and military.
