CJP asked to take note of illegalities committed by certain judicial officers
Islamabad: [August 1]
A top retired government official has asked the Chief Justice Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take note of accesses of some officials against him and his family.
Former Senior Member Board of Revenue, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Reayat Khan said that an Additional Registrar Peshawar High Court has managed to emerged as most powerful and rich person in the area.
Now, he is employing all the resources including fake cases and harassment to deprive him of his property, said Reayat Khan.
He said another official of Peshawar High is harassing witnesses, hiding facts, filing inquiries and even showing living witnesses as dead in his inquiry reports to save colleagues.
He said that involvement of judicial officers in such cases have brought a bad name to this institution that must be stopped. He claimed that he can furnish all the proofs of wrongdoing of the judicial officers provided he is given a hearing.
He demanded that apart from corrupt politicians and bureaucrats, judicial officers should also be held accountable, especially those who have made fortunes.
The veteran bureaucrat said that a case was framed against him and his son to stop the later from appearing in the competitive examination was height of illegality and using law to settle scores.
Reayat Khan made an appeal to the CJP take note of violation of law for personal unholy designs by the senior judicial officers who concealed the concrete and documentary facts to great extent.
If senior judicial officers entrusted with conducting inquiry resort to twisting, perverting, and above all killing the ground realities where should the victims go for justice, he questioned.
