POA Sports FOR ALL COMMISSION
1. General
i. According to IOC, Sport for All is a movement promoting the Olympic Ideal that sport is a human right of all individuals regardless of race, social class and sex. The movement encourages sports activities that can be exercised by people of all ages, both sexes and different social and economic conditions.
ii. In order to develop Sports for All activities the IOC has created a Sport For All Commission so as to encourage and support the efforts and developments disseminating the health and social benefits to be gained by all members of society through regular physical activity. This goal can be achieved through cooperative efforts of the sports organizations working under the umbrella of IOC.
2. POA Sports For All Commission
In line with the patterns of IOC Sports For All Commission and OCA Sports For All Committee, Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan HI(M), President Pakistan Olympic Association, under the powers vested in him vide Article IX (Office Bearers) – 4(a) of the Constitution of POA, has been pleased to constitute POA Sports For All Commission with the Composition, Role and Terms of Reference as given hereunder:-
