خبریں گروپ کے "نیوز "5 نے 34 رپورٹرز ، پروڈیوسرز ، کیمرہ مین ، اسائنمنٹ ایڈیٹرز اور دیگر ٹیکنیکل سٹاف کو اسلام آبادسٹیشن سے فارغ کیا اوران سٹاف ممبرز کی کئی کئی ماہ کی تنخواہیں دبا لیں۔ جس کے باعث میڈیا کے یہ ارکان شدید مالی بحران کا شکار ہو گئے۔ اس حوالے سے متاثرہ ارکان نے اپنے واجب الادا بقایاجات کے حصول کے لیے 28 نومبر 2011 کو نیوز فائیو (خبریں گروپ)کے دفتر واقعہ آئی نائن میں انتظامیہ سے ملاقات کی کوشش کی تو انتظامیہ نے صحافیوں کو دھکے دیئے اور گالیاں دیتے ہوئے بات کرنے سے انکار کردیا اور سیکیورٹی کی مدد سے تمام متاثرہ صحافیوں کو دفتر سے باہر نکلوا دیا اور سنگین نتائج کی دھمکیاں دیں۔ جس پر کچھ دیر کے لیے تمام موجود صحافیوں نے انتظامیہ کے ظالمانہ رویے کے خلاف اپنا احتجاج ریکارڈ کرانے کی کوشش کی تو انہوں نے پولیس کو طلب کرلیا۔آپ سے گذارش ہے کہ متاثرہ صحافیوں کو انکی تنخواہیں اور بقایاجات دلوانے میں اپنا کردار ادا کریں بصورت دیگر ہم معاشی مشکلات میں گھرے صحافی پارلیمنٹ ہاو ¿س کے سامنے 12 دسمبر بروز پیر 2011 کو دن ایک بجے اجتماعی خود سوزی کریں گے۔واضح رہے کہ نیوز فائیو کے کارکن اعظم خان (آڈیو انجینئیر، لاہور ) نے انتظامیہ کے توہین آمیز اور ظالمانہ رویے کے خلاف احتجاجاً خود کشی کر لی تھی۔مرحوم پانچ بہنوں کا اکلوتا بھائی تھا۔
متاثرہ صحافیوں کی فہرست اور بقایاجات کی تفصیلات درخواست کے ہمراہ منسلک ہے۔
