2nd NBP PENTANGULAR CUP T20 DISABLED CRICKET TOURNAMENT Will START FROM 28th NOVEMBER
KARACHI: The inaugural 2nd NBP Pentangular Cup T20 Disabled Cricket Tournament will be held here at NBP Cricket Stadium & RLCA Ground Gulberg from 28 November to 3rd December2011, Organizers announced here at a news conference on Thursday. "Five teams including four provinces and Federal Areas will be seen in action during the championship," Secretary, Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association, Amiruddin Ansari told in a joint news conference with Anwar saeed (NBP Sports) at Karachi Press Club.
He said teams namely Sultans of Sindh, Shehenshah-e-Punjab, Kings of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Federal Areas Mahraja's and Sardars of Balochistan will be battling for the honors in the six-day competition and winner will receive the rupees fifty thousand (Rs.50,000) while runner up will get twenty five Thousand (Rs. 25,000) Amiruddin said PDCA was holding its 2nd national event after being recognized by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He said after a struggle of four years PDCA with the support and efforts of their representatives raised 12 city teams and successfully conducted a national level event from their own resources. PDCA Secretary said their national team already made their mark during the tours to Malaysia and Singapore and got invitations from Sri Lanka and will play V/s. England to series in Dubai play matches there.
Anwar saeed said keeping the track record of PDCA, NBP offered them 2nd time sponsorship as a social and corporate policy of the bank. He said it was great to see the special persons giving their best in the ground and NBP had always supported these causes. Anwar saeed said it was pay to note that the hard work of PDCA paid dividends and they are now recognized body of the PCB. M. Javed of NBP and Media Manager PDCA Muhammad Nizam also spoke on the occasion.
According to details provided by the PDCA two matches will be played daily and Sultan of host Sindh will take on Federal Areas and Punjab faces Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on the opening day of the event. In 1st NBP Disabled Pantengular Cup 2010 was won by sardar of Balochistan while federal areas maharaja's disabled was runner up, the final match of the 1st NBP disabled T20 pantengular 2010 was telecast live on PTV on 3rd Dec. 2010. The final match of 2nd NBP Disabled pantengular Cup was played on 3rd Dec 2011 at the occasion of World Disabled Day.
