■ ALL PSV VEHICLES SHOULD GET FITNESS CERTIFICATE FOR CNG FROM HYDRO CARBON DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE. (HDIP) WITHIN 10 DAYS.
■ THOSE VEHICLES WHICH HAS CNG CYLINDERS ON ROOF TOP SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO ENTER ON HIGHWAYS AND MOTORWAYS.
National Highways & Motorway Police has decided that all the PSV vehicles which have installed CNG cylinders would not be allowed to enter on motorways and highways if they have not obtained fitness certificate from the Hydro Development Institute of Pakistan (HDIP). All the PSV vehicles having CNG cylinders have been given 10 days time period to get fitness certificate from the HDIP failing which they would be fined and also not allowed to enter on motorways and highway anywhere in Pakistan. The IG NH&MP Wajid Ali Khan Durrani has also directed all the DIGs of NH&MP that not to allow those PSV vehicles having CNG cylinders on its roof top to enter on motorways and highways, as it is against the safety measures. These decisions have been taken by the IG NH&MP after happening of three accidents due to blast of CNG cylinders in there vehicles on highways. The IGP has also requested the all PSV vehicles owners that they should take the all safety measures for commuters while installation of CNG kits in their vehicles and get a fitness certificate from (HDIP) as in these three accidents have took many precious lives of the innocent people due to installation of unsafe CNG cylinders.
