how can I get a medicaid dentist to agree that pronounced canines in my children makes braces medically necessary. both of my children have messed up teeth but I am only on medicaid so I assumed they would resist helping with braces…any suggestions on how I can get them?

Dentists tend to stay off the Medicaid lists of providers.Your local emergency rooms do have one on the staff,but they will only handle emergencies.You have to make private arrangements for non-emergency dental work.I had to make many phone calls before I found one that would allow me to pay for my dental work through a time-payment plan.
The truth of the matter is in my state MI I know of no such list. Most people call around until they find someone and other dentists are not usually going to give you any information. But for what it is worth if there any big chains of dentists where there are multiple locations you might try there. Usually newer dentists or those in declining areas will take that insurance.
