Government lauded for hosting tripartite summit
Agreements to bring stability, prosperity in the region
Iran, Afghanistan friends, allies and assets for Pakistan
Americans have no right to intervene in everything
Islamabad should also support separatist movements in US
Islamabad: [Feb 19]
The Pakistan Economy Watch (PEW) on Sunday lauded the government for hosting trilateral summit that will help bring three neighbours closer.
The move will help Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran resolve many regional issues without interference of the west, it said.
All the countries are facing internal and external threats as well as economic problems which made them natural ally, said Dr. Murtaza Mughal, President PEW.
There is a growing realisation that the motives of Washington are the root cause behind instability in the region which calls for a united stance on the core issues, he said.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that Pakistan's assurance not to assist US in case Tehran is attacked while Iran's promise to double the supply of gas has sent a loud and clear message.
Interdependence among neighbours enjoying common religious and cultural values is the key to stability and economic prosperity which should be the top preference of all the players, he said.
He said that such acts aimed at comprehensive and mutually beneficial cooperation will have a very positive impact on the people and economy of the three countries located in the most volatile region of the world.
Agreement on three-way trade by facilitation measures, treaties, encouraging private sector to invest and enhancing people-to-people contacts are great development which are being viewed positively, he added.
Dr. Murtaza Mughal said that the assurances and agreements should not remain on paper; something concrete should be there before the fourth summit to be held in Kabul by the end of this year.
He said that an attack on Iran without Pakistan's support will be a difficult choice that could prove a logistic nightmare for the US; it can push oil prices to unmanageable levels while bring American down costing Obama his presidency.
American enthusiasm for enhanced intervention has made it world's biggest debtor but they are not ready to learn a lesson.
Condemning that US resolution on Balochistan, he said that American is eying Balochistan's mineral wealth and geostrategic location.
He demanded that Pakistan should also move a resolution to support separation movements in the US that include the Alaskan Independence Party, Cascadia Independence Movement, Polynesian Sovereignty Movement, Nation of Hawai'i, and dozens of other active movements.
The number of countries has increased six fold since mid-1800s. 26 have emerged since 1990s. America is too big; interests of people can be better represented by the local people rather than distant seats, therefore US should be immediately divided, said Dr. Mughal.
