[Pak-Media] Pak Journalists in US to hold condolence meeting for slain journalist

Condolence meeting for slain Pakistani journalist Syed Saleem Shahzad

Representatives of Pakistani media in the U.S. will hold a condolence

meeting for their colleague Syed Saleem Shahzad, who was tortured to death
in Pakistan last week. As you know, Pakistan today is described as the most
dangerous place for journalists where they are often harassed, tortured and

even killed for performing what they are required to do: report what they
see and hear.

Pakistan¹s ambassador to Washington, His Excellency Husain Haqqani, who as a
former journalist had a long association with Mr. Shahzad, will address the

meeting.
