| Dear Friends With a booming electronic media, women journalists, no doubt, are enjoying ever-increasing opportunities in this field, but at the same time, they have been reeling from various social and cultural issues, which are creating obstacles in discharge of their responsibilities. To discuss this all, the Karachi Union of Journalists (KUJ) is holding the 2nd women journalism convention at the Karachi Press Club (KPC) on October 14, 2011 in collaboration with the KPC. . Last year, some 150 women journalists had attended the conference, including senior journalists from print and electronic media. This year, we are expecting over 250 women journalists from Karachi, and rest parts of the country to attend the conference.
